Razer Blackwidow Lite with Orange Switches Mechanical Keyboard Review: Designed for the Office

I own the Blackwidow Lite now! It an amazing keyboard with unique custom mid-height key caps! I have the original black version with the Orange switches! It's unique because it is a lightweight build and it's very portable! The key caps are awesome and I hope Razer releases the key caps separately! The feel is weird and the smoothness of the keys is good, problem is, is that the key caps will shine over time.... But anyway, being released in 2018 it's an amazing keyboard model.... I highly recommend the model to anyone who wants a mechanical keyboard, but still want a compact and professional business profile.... Another problem is, people use the number pad on the right.... So maybe a key pad would be good for the occasion.... (Thank you S&C for the like! You are an inspiration for me to start building and collecting my own favorite mechanical keyboards too! I own about ten different Razer keyboards right now that still work, some from different eras of the company.... Some are broken due to age but they are awesome to have! Such as the Lycosa.... Again, thank you so much for the like!)

@@El1GranMati I believe that the key caps are just a single shot type of ABS plastic…. It makes the keyboard even more lightweight…. I’m no worker of Razer myself, but I know a company keyboard when I can see one! It’s a very special version of the Blackwidow because it’s part of Razers “Productive Suite”…. A series of Razer products that are dedicated to the office or mobile workspace…. There is the Pro Type keyboard and the Pro Click mouse….

Well i bought this a week ago and i like it, Iam a designer and i game sometimes too the white backlight is quite professional when you're out to work ( not rn Pandemic :) ) The detachable cable was one of thing i was looking for cause of portability. In the end i like this board alot.

I have 2 of these. I own the entire stormtrooper lineup and I have a black one to go with my cyberpunk viper ultimate. I prefer the sound over my ducky one 2 mini.

Do you have a top list about the best keyboards for office use? :) For typing and coding, with some feedback but your colleagues won't ask you to take it back home - or just bin it - because it's too loud.

Great review S&C thanks. I've had this keyboard for a week now and the aesthetics and switches with o-rings are fine for gaming and WFH (needed to buy clear o-rings as the orange block the white LED). I have a real problem with how the switches vibrate the metal top plate/case resonating; causing a metallic ping noise (which is annoying). I've checked some other Amazon reviews and they commented on it too. How do you find the metallic noise (if you have it) with all your keyboard knowledge?

Nah, I wouldn't use it in my office; It is way too loud. However since its very light, bringing it to friends houses, lan parties, studying in a private room at the library should be very good. It is "kinda" quiet, any other keyboard works but I would pay for the aesthetics : smooth looking design and Star Wars, hehe.

costar stabs are nice and light (Mmm Filco love!) as for ''rattle'' just some lube and its good to go. too many companies have mushy unclipped cherry stabs. Varmilo keyboards though have some nice cherry stabs I must say. :P

Hi Betty, Thanks for doing this review of the Orange switches. The O rings did help reduce noise levels a bit, but it is still too noisy. Would doubling the O rings help? well done with all your modding of your keyboards. The only I did was survive to this week and that is the only thing I can say.

Doubling the O-rings makes it really hard to type because the distance is super reduced

I have owned this keyboard for like a couple of months but some of the LEDs are already turning yellow :( (it's tinted yellow now instead of white) I tried to clean it with alcohol and just wiping the keyboard but some of the switches are still yellow. It's not the keycaps as the keycaps look the same as others. Wondering if anyone has the same problem or a solution for it. Thanks

Crappy keyboard. Random keys stopped working on me twice and it is way too loud for a workplace. Also no numpad, doesnt make any sense for work.
