The Blade Pro 17 also comes undervolted out of the box by -0.1v on the CPU which is great to see, hopefully we see more companies doing this in future as it's a free performance boost + better thermals.

Thanks for the video. Loved the innovative intro! Who said unboxing videos have gone stale? :) Small correction though @ 3:07 - The Studio Edition of the Razer Blade Pro 17 will come with a 4K display option, but it will NOT be OLED. It will be a 120Hz 4K LCD. Currently, no manufacturer makes 17.3" 4K OLED displays for laptops, which is why we don't see them around. However, the Razer Blade 15 Studio Edition will have a 60Hz 4K OLED option.

re Dimitri... nobody closes the lid of a Windows laptop and wait the next day to be full of battery and cool! no without a small configuration..go to power options and enable it to go to HIBERNATE when you do that if you want. Hibernation is amazing. always avoid Sleep mode that kills the hardware especially disks and never turns off. IF you don't wish to shutdown and loose your current session... enable and use HIBERNATE! 😎

For stuff like Premiere, I do need a larger high-resolution screen. I don't mind squeezing an entire Premiere Pro window in a 17-inch screen as long as there are enough pixels for me, although I don't know if I need a UHD screen to do that. It boggles me even more why they don't have even a QHD option. It's a high enough bump in resolution from FHD to notice a difference but still easy to run. Also, maybe lay off on the Respawn for a while.

@xOr they added a 3rd fan in the centre and split the battery into to (left & right of bottom fan). It's smart, it sad since 17" pro draws more power. The cooling is solid so it had to be done and IMO worth it.

That's super nice....but US$2,499.99 for the 2060, US$2,799.99 for the 2070, and US$3,199.99 for the 2080 without any care added which adds US$299.99 for the [RazerCare Essential] and US$449.99 for the [RazerCare Elite]. That's A LOT for a laptop. That's the cost of building a pretty high-end desktop and you'll get far quieter and far better performance and the number of options increase with a desktop especially with things like an R6 Fractal case where you can legitimately use it as a home server with all those drive bays and if you buy the insulated case without the glass door, it's super quiet with beQuiet fans. I think $3,000 is absurd for a laptop, personally. I think they need to reduce the cost of their manufacturing because I just bought an Asus Scar Hero II something (I kinda regret it already) from Amazon for $1,600 but I didn't know it didn't come without a cable to add a 2.5 inch SSD and it comes with the older M.B+M connector not an M.2 which I didn't know before I bought it. It has a 2060 and can be expanded to 32 Gb of RAM but the lack of M.2 and lack of SSD cable is a deal breaker. But for $1,600 and Amazon offers 5 month free "financing" payments on select items, $450 bucks the first month and $300 and change each month till it's paid off, no interest, no extra charge. Hmm.....for someone that works and has bills, $3,000 isn't always easy to save and drop all at one time. Couple hundred here and there, that's different, that's easier to justify.

I need a workstation laptop with a touch screen and high refresh rate. I think Razer is now releasing a 120Hz touch screen for this 17 inch laptop model. However, I don't need a 17 inch laptop (too big and heavy for traveling), so I am just waiting for them to release that 120Hz touch screen on the 15 inch advance model, along with expandable storage which the advance model is still lacking. I am, or was interested in getting the Blade Pro 17, as a replacement for my aging MacBook Pro. intended use was mostly not gaming, but work. Mostly web design, Adobe Illustrator, inDesign and Photoshop. I am pretty disapointed that Razer probably will not offer a 4K OLED on this one. It feels like I am in between all use cases. I don't need a 144Hz. Screen but i need more resolution. A Quadro is overkill for my workflow but thats the only way to get the better screen... so in the end i might be forced to get the blade 15, even though a 4k Display on 15" does not make all that much sense either...
