Razer Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed : First Impressions

Taking a look at the Razer Deathadder V3 Hyperspeed. I have about 10 hours into this mouse and wanted to provide my first impressions of the mouse. Shape seems really good, but for my hand it may be a bit small for an ergo mouse. Performance has been great so far but I do wish that for the price razer included some grips, and the higher 30k sensor.

If anything changes ill update this comment, but yeah really been enjoying playing with this mouse. I'm finding that Palm grip for me is best on this shape since I cant get much grip with my pinky finger on the right side due to the shape there for claw grip. Smaller hands probably wouldn't have this issue though, but performance has been good!

Somehow you always make video on a topic I'm interested in, which means KZbin algorithms work well 😅 Could u please tell if it feels narrower at the front when doing "semi-aggressive" grip than gpx (specifically when ring finger placed at the narrowest front point on the right side of the mouse, where it curves in; thumb, ring finger and pinky are on the pad)? And I assume it's less palm filling than gpx too

The front width feels really similar, for more aggressive grips where you flex your pinky, i feel a little less secure on it. The palm feeling is different between the two since the GPX feels like it always sits right in the middle of my palm and this is a bit more low profile and spread out feeling. This could be different for someone with smaller hands than me though.

I've been hearing that the Hyperspeed feels closer to the Pwnage Stormbreaker than anything else. Overall it seems like a pretty good release especially since they're probably gonna start having rechargeable capability instead of normal batteries in future releases

Yeah the standard AA Battery in the Viper Hyperspeed, on top of the bad sensor placement was a deal breaker for me. The battery in this mouse is rated at 100 hours which is pretty solid.

@EverTechReviews it's a pretty good mouse but it's held back by their customer support when issues arise but I've heard they've been doing better lately

While shape size and coating is all personal preference. This mouse is exactly what so many pros and us normies were begging for. This coating this Scrollwheel and for the love of god this SHAPE. The dav3 pro was waaaay too big. Everyone that mains ergos wanted a Dav3 that was ec2/ec3 size. This is the best ergo this year and it’s not even close.

I think the shape is good!! For my hand size I just prefer a bit more of a booty on it to fill up my palm

@@EverTechReviews oh ya that’s totally fair. I’m an ec3 sucker but have been dying for an ergo that’s light with a zowie similar coating and better scroll than the dav3 pro and i think razer killed it here. both of the dav3s are top tier ergos no doubt

A smaller DeathAdder V3 shape is what I (personally) have been waiting for a while tbh, however, 100 bucks for this is a bit pricey imo (with the Hyperspeed name tag as well, which - Razer - please make your product naming scheme better T.T ) The Focus X sensor implemented a custom acceleration feature, which is pretty cool to me - would love to see people dive deep into it with the long-term/actual review.

Overall the mouse I think is a really good release, i'll def be posting my updated thoughts in a week or two when I get some more time on it.

Do you have to put the usb in the mouse when using the 8k dongle ? No right? Since the v3 pro doesn’t do that ??

no, it just is a place to store the dongle when not using it

How is click pressure compared to DeathEdder v3 pro and v2 pro?

The clicks feel exactly the same to me, only thing that feels different is the scroll wheel which feels more like the scroll wheel on the new Viper V3 Pro. however, i am finding that it is a bit tougher to press Mouse 3 rapidly.

I think that’s probably a pretty good hand size for this. Assuming you like ergo mice! My hands are 19.5 x 10 for reference

I don t have a wlmouse, so I can’t really compare. Gpx2 is good though, but my white one discolored quickly. I have been maining the viper v3 pro since it came out

Is the width the same as your thorn? Or is it more narrow?

Depending on the exact spot you grip the mouse, The DAV3 Hyperspeed is a bit thinner. The thorn has such an aggressive thumb groove though that in the hand the grip width feels similar

I mean, the sensor could be worse on paper but there is no way you can feel the difference between this and "newer" razer sensor

Totally feels fine in game, just strange that the cheaper viper v3 hyper speed has the 30k sensor and this has the 26k
