Having looked into this for some time now, GameSir seems to be best (relatively affordable) option. I’m ordering one now for my iPhone. Up until now I’ve been playing a number of games on my phone with touchscreen controls like WWE 2K22, Star Wars Squadrons, Dirt 5 and loving it (I even posted a few vids) but it’s time to give a good controller a go.

@CompleteGeekTV Жыл бұрын
Sorry for that last response (which I deleted). I thought this comment was on our recent PS5 Dualsense comparison. But to answer your question. Yes! We have used all of these controllers and have videos on each of them separately showing how they work. In all of our testing they pretty much work the same way and do the same thing. So we felt that the best thing to show was the difference of how each one feels and how the buttons work. If you want to know more about each we have videos for each controller talking specifically about how they each function.

If you're ok with Bluetooth, we think MOGA xp7-x plus and Nacon mg-x pro are the best. If you don't want Bluetooth, we do think the Gamesir and Backbone are better than the V2 for button mashing. The Gamesir X3 buttons are lighter than the Backbone but we find them less so than the Kishi which will sometimes lead to accidental presses or missed button presses. I think if we had to pick a winner between those two for buttons, we are leaning towards the Backbone just because the Gamesir is still too light for our liking. We hope this helps

So far I'm liking the kishi v2. I've had the gamesir x2 Bluetooth, the app is terrible and doesn't work with android 12.

I'd go with the kishi v2 especially for the giveaway!

Im still on the fence. I have a steam deck, switch, and ps4. It would be nice to work on my minecraft world on the go without having to lug my switch around as well. Plus some remote play my ps4 games on the go. Im going to wait and see if backbone makes that ps version for android

Backbone already has an android version. and it doesn’t matter whether it’s the PS version or not. They all work equally with any system. We’ve used the so called “Xbox” version on PlayStation many times and it works just fine. You can find it here: amzn.to/3IS8Nzk If you are looking into handheld controllers right now you might also want to check out the Gamevice Flex! We just got that and reviewed it about a month ago and it’s amazing! I personally think it’s a lot like the backbone but more comfortable to hold and with better sticks and triggers! Here’s a link if you want to check it out: amzn.to/3mnDS6A If you want to see our review on it you can find that here: GAMEVICE FLEX ! Watch This Before You Buy Kishi, Gamesir, or Backbone! kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2jShmp9aLN-irc

Thank you very much for your review! The X3's cooler would be great, but not having analog buttons are a deal breaker for me. I will participate in the giveaway for the Kishi V2!

Oh, the neverending problems of choice for mobile gamers. Telescopic controllers haptically aren't for everyone. Fine for some, but not for others. Some have stability problems (especially floppy ones like the Kishi V1), putting stress on your phone's usb socket. Gamepad shape controllers are, naturally, perfect for that proper gamepad experience we all know and love. Their problems are usually just cheap parts, and the higher priced ones feel and work perfectly. BUT Bluetooth latency! Some are "less worse" than others, but they're all inherently inferior to a direct USB connection, particularly noticeable and possibly deal-breaking for streetfighter type games. Some of them allow a wired USB connection to eliminate blutoof latency. But then you can't charge your phone anymore for longer playing sessions! Which in turn some telescopic controllers allow. But they don't feel and handle like proper gamepads, naturally. Oh, the endless vicious cycle, that prevents us from getting the ultimate, perfect phone controller for all occasions. There's always a weighted compromise neccessary. For finding it, reviews like this are important, so we gamers don't spend our money prematurely.

I’m starting to get pissed the eff off with all these damn reviews!! The gamesir x2.. does the damn thing work with the 13pro max or not? I want to buy it but I’m leaning towards the ugly backbone because it works with it so whats up?
@CompleteGeekTV2 жыл бұрын
At the time of this review, we only had the Type C android version so we weren't able to test and still can't try it. However, we have read that it iphone version will fit with 13 pro max. The only complaints we see is that the iPhone’s camera bump doesn’t allow for a flush fit. It will slightly stick out on the side of the camera bump. We read it's not enough to be problematic, but definitely unsightly and I feel like it’s not as secure. We read it doesn't fit well or at all with cases but may depend on the case. We hope this helps.

Thank you and we appreciate you watching. We honestly want to recommend the Gamevice Flex. We haven't posted our review yet but we all might choose it over the other options there. Sorry to throw another one at you but we just wanted you to be aware as we love the device so far. It's like an upgraded Kishi V1. Price may also be a factor and there could be some solid sales right now. All are very solid devices though.

The best controller for mobile gaming is clearly the Nokia N-Gage, but I wouldn’t mind being entered to win the Backbone.

this video led me down a rabbithole of controllers i never knew existed. i settled on the X2 because it's on sale and seems to offer what i'm looking for in a phone controller. can't wait for it to show up so i can try games with Steam Link! an upgrade to the X3 would be nice though

i am looking for one gamepad for my 5 years old son haha, first time he is playing donkey kong country returns on dolphin, his first time playing a nintendo game on android and he loves it.. he struggling with the on-screen gamepad haha, good job guys! i love your videos! i have a question, i have heard the quality build of the gamesir x2-x3 is cheap and some comments online have mentioned that it can break easily after moderate usage after a few weeks? any validity to that?? btw would like to be part of the giveaway :)!!
@CompleteGeekTV2 жыл бұрын
We have not found that to be the case! We have probably used the the Gamesir x2 more than any of them since that was our favorite from the last generation of controllers and it feel studied and better built than both the backbone and Kishi in my opinion. Now with the new Gamesir X3 I would say it’s even better built! I’ll just say this. In our last comparison on the original Kishi, backbone, and Gamesir x2 we tried to get a shot of the controllers falling from the sky because we thought it would look cool. We set pillows up so they didn’t just hit the ground but they all bounced off and hit the ground anyway. When we did that the backbone broke, the Kishi was okay and the Gamesir looked like it had never been touched! So the short version is the Gamesir is not built cheaply, in fact I believe it the most durable and well built of the 3

The Kishi would be perfect if it had usb data transfer for usb-c audio
