I have gotten used to em and they are good. No more mushyness like v1. Overall just a better experience than the V1 especially how quick I can get my phone in and out. @liamness2 жыл бұрын
I was considering something like this, or a cheap clip for an Xbox controller like you mentioned near the start of the video. But with the options for standalone handhelds getting much better, I'm starting to think it would be easier to just get one of them. The Kishi V2 isn't really that much more portable than the Ayn Odin, for example, and with the Odin you're not having to make your phone pull double duty as a gaming machine. Which would be less than ideal in terms of managing the battery and storage usage, plus most phones don't have very good cooling solutions.
@deleted726362 жыл бұрын
That's what I'm thinking plus you dont get black bars on the Odin unlike smartphones. Only thing is the resell value for the Odin Pro is ridiculous right now.
@lucascarracedo74212 жыл бұрын
Well yes. But both options can suit different use cases. You always have your phone with you, so for some that's a plus. Also, a modern smartphone can be much more powerful and efficient than an Odin, so you could limit it to odin levels of performance, which could be a workaround for the lesser thermal solution. My main issue with these usbc controllers is that they all end up forcing the usbc port of the phone badly due to bending, which is absolutely horrible on the long term
@Odd_Taxi_epi042 жыл бұрын
The cheap clip for an Xbox controller solution don't force the usb-c port, and you can use it with usb-c, and not only with your phone. I find very hard to justify those dedicated phone controllers.

And USB audio would also be awesome, since unless you buy the Hammerhead earbuds or another set with a gaming mode, Bluetooth lag is just too noticable. And that's really ironic, right? The device is designed to get us past input lag, but doesn't help at all with audio lag. As for the original's ability to fit phones, I took out the foam inserts. I no longer need to take my phone (Galaxy S21) out of its case. Of course, I would recommend not having a case on during gameplay anyway. The cases will always retain heat and heat's not good for gaming. But again, thanks for the review.

Even if you have earbuds on it plays a LOUD shutter sound out of the phone speaker, not the earbuds. I see no options for it in the Nexus software. I have the shutter sound turned off at the OS level in the camera app and via the button combo for system screenshots. Pressing that dedicated button still blasts a LOUD shutter sound through the phone speakers when you press it. It's so loud that it will turn heads in a room. As a result, I will never use that button because it's incredibly annoying to others around you. I've reached out to Razer support but so far I've not heard back from them on whether or not this is something that is intended (which would be insane IMO - making such a LOUD sound mandatory is absolutely something you should speak to if that were the case, because it's enough of an issue to recommend avoiding the use of the button) or if it's an issue and needs to be updated.

Wait so usb type c headphones won't work this this? What about an adapter to aux? That immersion is really important with gaming and we know how delayed bluetooth headphones are so that's not an option.

I love your channel!! This looks great but I don't think the Samsung Galaxy Fold would fit well, due to the placement of the USB-C port. I guess if the device was folded closed?

I wish the game controllers have a built in battery with pass thru charging with over charge protection so the game controller can charge your phone while the controller is being charged at the same time while having a headphone jack on the game controllers with 0 audio latency gaming and better audio quality with wired headphones. I still have not yet found a game controller with all the features that I mentioned.

hi nice vid sir, I would like to ask. I saw you have the Nubia RedMagic 7 Pro, does the Kishiv2 fits well on it, does it not cover the exhaust fan from the phone? tia

By the way my friend, you should try the test with checking the wattage when the phone battery is much lower life, as in closer to dead. As the phone is more charged, the charging power will be severely throttled (intentionally) You should see your full speed charges when your battery is closer to dead, which also may have affected (but maybe didn't) the max speed for the Kishi charge test as well. Anyways, you can get real readings from the charging speed as your battery is closer to dead, so I hope that helps.

Does it take a wider device now? Too tight for Note series. Will wait until price drops to fitty.

I know this is a pipe dream but how feasible would it be to make a controller like this for mobile devices like Android with an SD card slot and then your phone can read the SD card slot when it's plugged into the controller that way you can just leave all your games for emulators on the controllers SD card?

I wish this was available back when I got the Saitake F7007F, this seems much better built. The Saitake's button is kinda sticking after only maybe less than 100 hours of play.

I use it on my now S23 for Xbox Game Pass away from home or laying in bed. They also make Backbone for Android when it was released.

I have a problem with the triggers in minecraft, when I press the left trigger it places two blocks for some reason, I have to gently press it to just place one, (which means not pulling the trigger all the way down) any idea why that is?

So it will fit thicker phones but what about longer phones. My Z Flip 3 is a tight fit in the Kishi V1, does it fit easier in the V2?

Can you use this with a case on your phone? I have protective/bulky style case for my s23 ultra, I want a controller like this just to throw in my bag for lunch breaks at work since carrying a 8Bitdo Pro 2 would be a bit much in a bag compared to something like this

Next time try the Daijishou Front-end. It's a all-in-one solid solution that replaces your launcher with a frontend and very basic app launcher.
