Hi! The profiles indicator is not working! What I can do for work normal?

It depends on which profile indicator you are referring to. The profile indicator on the mouse itself? As in the LED that shows which profile the mouse is using? If that LED is off it cpuld be the mouse is in the default state with no others saved, or the profile is not assigned a color or the LED itself is bad. If you are referring to when the mouse switches between profiles, it could be a few reasons. Typically when i have had this issue it was due to the profile not having an application or game assigned to the profile with auto switch turned on in the synapse software. I can go into more details depending what yours is doing in particular. Is the software showing different profiles saved in the synapse software? If so, make sure these are saved locally to the mouse as well and then test. If they are on the mouse but not showing up, try unplugging and reinserting the mouse as well as exiting out of the synapse software, reopening and then updating it as well. Please let me know some more details if any of these do not fix it and I will see if I know what it is doing.

The light on the bottom of the mouse should be what changes color when the profile button is pressed. The color of the mouse itself wont change unless that particular profile it is set on at the time has a color or pattern programmed to that profile. Do you have the led colors and patterns saved to the profiles you are changing on the mouse? Also, you do have to save the profiles to the mouse before selecting the profile on the mouse. If they are programmed to the profiles and the profiles are saved on the mouse, then you may try reinstalling the razer synapse software and saving the profiles on the mouse again, sometimes the synapse software glitches so it may not be responding properly.

I just got a new razor Naga trinity mouse and none of the side buttons for the 12 are not actually typing the number 1 when I press it

Only the number 1? If only the number 1 does not work, I would guess you may have a defective unit. You could remove the side plate and unplug the mouse, then replace the side plate and plug the mouse back in to see if it changes. I have had it stop once after about a year and did that and it fixed it. But all of my side keys quit when that happened. I would also try some of the other side plates with other keys and see if they work for 1, if they do then the 12 button side plate specifically may be the issue rather than the mouse itself.

I have two questions: one, does the software window always pop up when starting the PC or plugging the mouse in/out or only the first time (because I find that kind of annoying with my current one)? Two, can you assign keys without recording (because I can't press keys I don't have on a laptop for example)?

Sorry I just now answered these, I missed them, I apologize! Yes the window pops up most of the time. Its not technically supposed to, and when working properly with no updates, it doesn't. But after a few months, it started popping up every few days for regardless of my settings in the app itself. Never have gotten it to stop ever since it started that. Originally it only would when I told it to open. Also, I'm not sure if you could get it to do other functions bot listed on your keyboard, maybe if you have a virtual keyboard which has the key you are wanting it to press? It might allow it to record it that way since you dont have the key on your physical keyboard.

So lomg as they are saved on the mouse itself, yes, you can manually choose which you want even without having the software setup or on devices which do not support the software.

For some reason, I can't assign buttons to video game's. Any ideas what's going on? Is the mouse just not able to do it, or is it a user error?

You should be able to create a profile and assign the game to the profile, then create whatever assignments for the buttons that you wish and save them to the same profile. Then transfer this profile to the mouse and it should allow for use of the buttons on specific games as what you have assigned them.

Unfortunately not that I have found using the Naga Trinity. You can set individual key colors on the keyboards, but the mouse only lets you separate the 12 on the side, the scroll wheel, and the logo. So the mouse allows up to 3 separated groups, but all side keys must be in the same group. Hope that clarifies! Thanks for the question!

With this particular mouse you can't change the weight of the mouse itself, but the different surfaces you use it on will change how well it slides and you can adjust the dpi to any setting in its range. That is really the extent of customizing for movement you can do other than in game controls. I do wish you could adjust the weight. That would be an added benefit to this already very strong mouse.

What does the profile button on the bottom do

It switches between profiles saved on the mouse itself. This mouse will let you setup profiles on the software which can then be transferred to the mouse and saved with a different color to correlate to which profile. This way you can swap on the fly, even on devices without the software. It allows the buttons to be programmed for different apps and games, each being assigned to different profiles and saved on the mouse so even if the software doesn't switch the profile automatically you can manually select which you would prefer at the time. Hope this explanation helps!

@@Drod01 generally when you switch it out, it will recognize it even with the software running, but i have had it not recognize it on occasion and I will have to end the software with task manager, and reopen it and it will work properly. Or sometimes just switching to a different profile on the mouse and then back again will fix it as well. In one or two cases I've had to actually unplug the mouse and plug it back in. Or reset the pc itself. But generally one of the other fixes has worked for me before having to reset. Hope some of these may help. Also sometimes the software or app I'm using at the time, like the game or whatever, will not recognize it and I can exit out and go back in and its fine. So it generally depends on if it isnt being recognized at all or just in the game or what exactly. Hope these help you, Let me know if none of these work!

I haven't tried using this particular mouse with the ps4, but I do know most of the time you will need one of the USB dongle adapters to utilize most of the controls. The type that converts the mouse input to the dualshock controller input, as well as could remap the inputs to different buttons. I have seen some use these used with success but still not as accurately as on pc. If the game you are playing recognizes the mouse at all, you may be able to remap the buttons on the game itself if the buttons show up as any type of input (but thats very rare). If not, the USB dongle might be your only way of utilizing the buttons. I know one of the higher rated ones is called the Xim 4. I haven't looked into it in a while but it was around $150 last time I checked. But it in theory, it made any mouse and keyboard work for most any game/ task on ps4 by tricking the PlayStation into thinking its a dualshock controller. It might take something like that to utilize this mouse on ps4. Hope this helps mate! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Most computers automatically download the drivers and sometimes will automatically boot it up to download from the internet if connected. If it doesn't though, simply search for razer synapse 3 download and it should bring you to the razer website where you can download synapse 3 to use with it.

If you assign the buttons to a profile and save the profile to the mouse itself, and then manually select which profile you would like after plugging it onto the ps4, it should allow you to use your saved presets and button assignments on ps4.

Thats strange, I havent heard of one doing that yet. And none of my other razer products have had that issue either. I'm sorry that happened, have you contacted support to see if the product number shows up as already having been registered? They may be able to tell you a bit more or reset the status of it if possible. I am not sure what they would need to do to fix that. It would be on their end I would imagine.

Sorry, I just seen this comment, mine does make a tactile clicking sound as it turns, and you can feel it click past each turn. But this is normal, as it is a mechanical wheel on the mouse, it gives a slightly more accurate scroll, but is louder. Most mice nowadays have gone other routes for quieter, smoother scrolls, but technically the mechanical is a little better for speed and accuracy.

For example when I hold number 9 and then slowly releasing the button, I noticed the it will trigger number 9 loosely multiple times before the button is totally released. Is it the same with yours? This only happens when I'm holding the button but it is fine when pressing the button once.

I have had it for about 2 years now and use it for gaming regularly and many of the side keys are setup for us as macros or remapped, I have not had this issue. Curious, does it do this with the any of the side plates?

It may not have the profile selected at the time if your custom selections still show up as the button you assigned them to in synapse. The profile with them saved has to be active and selected for it to use the custom settings. If you just changed them for the first time also you may have to closse out synapse and reopen it or manually tell it which profile in the synapse software. Is it showing up in synapse as each key assigned still?

Is the mouse working on the computer besides showing up in the app? If not, the computer isnt recognizing the mouse, I would recommend plugging the mouse into a different USB port if possible, sometimes it will boot different drivers in a different one. If it is working on the computer but not showing in the app, I would try updating, restarting the app, and the pc, then if that doesnt work, you may also try uninstalling the app and reinstalling it clean. I've seen that glitch happen before. One thing that may help also is to be sure the app is saved on the C: drive or the main boot up drive of your pc. Not sure why but I have seen some glitches fixed with having the app on the boot up drive. Let me know if any of these help!

I have heard of this issue as well, mine thankfully has not yet still but I have heard of some who have had this issue within 2 years, sometimes within a year. Often most mice only last me about 2 years before I will have an issue as I wear them out with how often I use them. Sorry to hear these issues plagued you as well.
