The only thing it has thats different than base ps4 is slanted bumpers and a button strip on the bottom. Neglected to mention that both of these are suffering from major call-backs as each have significant issues rendering them utterly unusable until Scuff and Razer patch the software. You didn't address the functionality in the slightest, you spoke only about the shiny aesthetics and customization. For anyone who's wondering, I just bought a Raiju Tournament Edition august 1 2019 and been using it till now. Never knew there was a drift issue, never encountered it I had the 1.04 firmware out of the box and updated it to 1.05 even though I did not have the issue. It's a perfect controller and it's really worth the money. I just wish they included a pouch tho like the original one had. Also the only issue you might encounter is that the freakin loghts of the raijus are so blinding it's really annoying for people who places their controllers under their face while gaming.

Scuff ain’t a good brand for controllers anyways, they break easily, like you said its made cheap but sold for like 300 bucks, the joy sticks ware out easily, buttons don’t work sometimes and if you get an impact the extra buttons don’t work after like a couple of months, sometimes weeks.

Had 2 scuff pads both broke after tiny warranty. Original raiju never missed a beat had issues with wire and razor replaced the whole thing so have 2..... picked up the ultimate near launch and had bugs razer replaced the whole thing sent out before I had boxed the return. Replacement hasn't skipped a beat. Can't speak to the vantage pad as not owned but won't buy scuff again cost alot to fix and scrappy customer service.

At first, I was thinking this would be a good idea to buy one of these. Looks high quality, the shape looks more comfortable to hold than the traditional PS4 controller, and battery life seems a lot better too. But paying almost as much as the console itself for a controller is ridiculous. If this was like $80-90, I could see that. But who in the right mind would buy a controller this god damn expensive?!?

I wouldn't recommend the SCUF Vantage because they're almost always defective in some way. We're talking thumbstick deadzones, unresponsive buttons, bad connections on the wireless model, and even the controller straight up dying entirely. They have really high failure rates and will show extremely noticable signs of deterioration quickly. If you want a SCUF PS4 controller, get an Impact because it uses a genuine DualShock 4 as a base, which means it'll be much more reliable and cheaper than a Vantage.

I don't get why people say "hefty" controllers that are bulkier and weigh more are more solid or better build quality. First I want to say great review. I personally don't care for the Scuf vantage that much, I bought it day one and PC drivers were not out and the deadzones were terrible so I returned it so it didn't sit until it was too late to return, felt really ripped off with scuf and don't like them much. I've really been in the market for a controller like the Raiju for about a year and nothing was up to par until now. Why the hell is the Raiju not available in the US? I tried to but it last week with no luck. Very disappointed. It's also very expensive. I would actually pay $250 for it. The only question I was to ask is how does the Raiju Ultimate compare to the Nacon revolution which is a lot cheaper and available in the US?
