From its introduction to its finish, Razer was always my favorite. I hope it is permanently on display somewhere as it is not only a great piece of engineering but also a great piece of art.

Razer is still one of the best robots and my favourite. A unique and beautiful weapon, has won 12 trophies and of the 3 classic legends, it’s lasted the longest.

It was a shame Razer wasn't back for series 7 but it was nice to see them come back for series 8. Alas, Team Cold Fusion will always be its Kryptonite. Question is....how do you think they would have done against Carbide?

Sad for Razer, however with the shape and subsequent weight distribution of KK, larger size of the pit and lack of floor grip compared to the arena of old I wouldn't have chanced it. It's a shame they did! 😮

A shame that Razer's return after more than 13 years saw it fall out in the first round in such an embarrassing fashion, in the first televised Robot Wars battle since 2004. But looking back on it, I wouldn't have had Razer return at all, for a few reasons... 1. It already won more trophies than anyone else, including three international prizes and a UK title. What more was there for it to achieve? 2. Its last battle before this was a satisfying enough result; sticking it to Tornado with a victory to close out the feud. And no, Razer's withdrawal from the European Championship doesn't change that victory, since that's not the same as a loss, and the official decision was never reversed like when Pussycat was disqualified against Scutter's Revenge. Just like Ultor still beat Big Brother and Thor and Concussion still beat Cathadh and Terror Turtle. 3. As legendary as Razer remains, let's be honest - it wasn't able to properly crush robots anymore with how durable they'd become, and Razer's always really been a product of 1998. Plus, if Ian Lewis found it infuriating when his machine was getting mangled by Pussycat, how would he have reacted to Carbide (a robot in the same Heat) potentially chopping it apart?! That would've been a far worse way for Razer to go than the way it went here. I don't even think Razer's anti-spinner wedge would've been helpful enough. But hey ho - at least Terrorhurtz technically avenged its loss to Razer in Series 6, even though the two robots didn't go after each other here. One thing to say in Razer's favour, though - what people were saying here about how Kill-E-Crank-E "killed" Razer is absurd. Firstly, Kill-E-Crank-E LOST just as much as Razer if not more so. It's not like Kill-E-Crank-E stood any chance against Razer, let alone got it in position for the pit like it was vice versa. And secondly, I don't believe any of this nonsense about a "mutual death pact" - Kill-E-Crank-E struggled about and it just happened to snag Razer so that it would fall down with it.

Razer has reliability issue and motor issues. That is just part of what they had to face against the modern bots.
