Unless you have very specific uses for the dials, I would lean towards the Stream Deck XL.

Really glad you enjoyed it. Sonar doesn't have a plugin for the Razer Stream Controller/Loupedeck or the Stream Deck, but you can create keyboard shortcuts within Sonar and assign those shortcuts to buttons or knobs on any of the devices. It's a bit of work to set it up the way you want, but at least you can make it exactly the way you want.

At first glance i was thinking maybe this could be more of a competitor to the Avermedia Livestreamer but i forgot about all the different inputs included with the Avermedia device.

The only big difference is the XLR capability, but you could theoretically control even those if they were going through something like an Elgato Wave XLR... and both elgato's and Loupedeck's software solutions tower above Avermedia imo.

I hear what you are saying and I did give it some thought, but here is why I didn't include it: 1) I didn't find the Avermedia to be that good a product 2) It is also an XLR audio Interface and I was focused more on the Stream Control and productivity 3) The main question to me is "Can the Razer replace the most popular streaming device on the market?"

Whlie it was nice to see you use the Loupdeck interface. That part of the video was very much NOT needed. This could and should have been a much shorter and just focused on a comparison between the two products. Also while you have repeated that the Loupdeck interface is a million times better than it originally way. You also hint that it is still not as good as the Streamdeck interfadce. As a Loupdeck owner who also runs StreamDecks, I only use the Loupdeck for bare minimum things due to just how complicated and non user friendly the interface really is. And that is even after all the updates. I am curious to see if they will work harder on the interface now that they have a partner in this. And now that they have the newer version also coming out soon. But for me, the ease of use/setup is still going to be for the StreamDecks. And that means that if I can set them up quick and easy, I will actually use them. The LoupDeck Live gets ignored due to the hassle of setting it up.

Thanks for the comment and for the feedback. It is greatly appreciated. The simplicity of the Stream Deck UI and hardware is why it will likely always win out, but people who are patient enough with the loupedeck can do a lot of amazing things. I use mine literally every day as both a photo and video editor as well as a streamer and just for some every day stuff as well. Their rough start was with that interface and it turned a lot of people off, sadly. I'd bet that by the time Razer and Loupedeck get a chance to make a perfect UI, not enough people will care.

@@MiscastJoe And that does not even include price in the matter. For my country the standard 15 button Elgato StreamDeck the cost is approximately $220. Where as the Razor Stream Controler the price is $449. That is a massive difference. When using things like this outside of streaming. I know a large number or sim racers (and sim flyers) who use StreamDecks in button boxes for their game rigs.

On the thumbnail? I got the pic online from their website back when I made the thumbnail. Not sure what the icon pack is. If you are talking about the video, I typically make my own icons for things.
