U told us, how stiff the razer viper click is. which becomes a problem when u want to hit ur wingman shots (every ms counts). But 'cause the razer has optical switch to register the click faster, I guess that problem is just on the papers.

A very well put and high quality made review! Appreciated the time it took for mouse rotating trick at 8:34, well done. It was really good to see you mentioning weight distribution, - a very important aspect of the mouse that is often neglected by the reviewers. A small remark though, - it has most of the weight located precisely in the middle of the mouse (where the battery is placed), and unfortunately, it is not a 50/50. You can notice how weight shifts drastically whenever holding the mouse slightly towards either end of the mouse. Still, it's better than the most back heavy competition. I would also like to mention the very well thought-out positioning of the scroll wheel relative to main buttons, as it sits more on the same level as the main buttons and thus it's easier to slide the finger on it without needing to raise it much.

Man, your videos are absolutely stunning. I love the attention to detail and I adore how you are not afraid of doing silly stuff like the image flip at 6:43 or the moment at 10:04 where you hit your desk. Your videos are super well made, your reviews are so good that even though I set myself on buying a monitor already (after about 10 hours of research), I keep watching them and now I was thinking of replacing my Deathadder V2 but I didn't know if I should get a Viper Ultimate or G Pro wireless. The G Pro X may be a better mouse than the GPW but the almost 2x price over the Viper Ultimate and 1.7x price over the G pro Wireless make it a "dodge this one" type of situation. Plus, I saw that even though Logitech had taken the crown for the most double clicks in terms of mice (ironically, Razer was known for this), people were saying that the GPX has finally fixed this issue and that it will not be the case with future mice... just to see people still having doubleclick issues even as early as hours after unboxing the GPX which in my opinion is not even remotely acceptable at that big price tag. I really hope this will become your job in the future. You know what to say, you give us good results(as well as your own opinion), you like to meme and you're not afraid of adding jokes in your script which a lot of reviewers today lack. Good job, keep it up, I'm unironically gonna watch every single video you put out because man, this is fantastic content.

Loved the video! I've been looking for a new wireless mouse to replace my current Razer DeathAdder Chroma and also to use with my new laptop. This video has prettymuch convinced me to pull the plug on the Viper! However I did have one little disagreement: you said at the end of your video that your previous Razer products fell apart very easily. I've been using the same DeathAdder Chroma and BlackWidow Chroma Stealth for about 5 years now, and both still serve me great, aside from the rubber sidings on my Deathadder starting to fall off, but that's nothing some adhesive couldn't solve. Could just be luck of the production unit, but my experience with Razer has been great! Overall, Great video, keep it up!

There are few things you forgot to mention on the logitech side, first of all i love razer Products and never had the issue with it like 95% of all users, they never broke on me (got a BlackWidow Keyboard since 2-3 Years or so and still working fine). One big thing in my opinion for the G Pro Wireless is that you can swap the side buttons, as a claw griper my ring finger is exactly on both side buttons if they would be clickable i would press them nonstop. The Second Pro for the G Pro Wireless (pun intended) is that you find much more teflon mousefeed on the market (in Germany i found non for the Viper Ultimate), which in my opinion is a must have on a gaming mouse and i dont know why it dosent get deliverd with such mousefeed on it while the Basilisk Ultimate gets them, that shit cost nothing in production. PS: If you are not a claw grip guy the Viper Ultimate surely is a very nice mouse. greetings from germany! :)

Definitely agree with your point that Razer mouses tend to fall apart. As a Razer Viper Ultimate user for more than 3 years, I can say that this mouse has serious quality problems. The side buttons sometimes stop working, the middle button is double-clicking 1/4 of the time, the charging dock doesn't charge the mouse sometimes because of its bad design, the side grip materials on both sides are worn out and the mouse looks pretty bad now. There are weird "solutions" most of the time like hitting the mouse to a surface to unclog the dust inside the mouse or pressing hard on the space below the side buttons to make them work again or using an earpick to clean the pins on the charging dock and on the mouse, etc. but it's just not worth the cost, effort, and discomfort... These problems started happening after 6 months of use by the way and they just kept getting worse and worse.

Decided to give Razer a shot a couple days ago. Got my copy and it had rattle issues. Did some research and little too late, found out it was a common problem. Taped the whole footing of the sensor, set the dpi to 20000, shook my mouse and I could see my cursor on my monitor moving. It was a loose sensor. Tried it asap on my GMD and zero movement from the cursor. I returned it right away and did not want to go through the trouble of getting lucky for a perfectly fine copy.

I’ve been a g pro user for a year+ and I love it. I gave the viper 2 chances and both fell short for me. One thing that was annoying was the dpi issue, the viper has a problem where it reads the sensor +50 dpi over other mice. Ok no big deal just set it to 350 instead of 400. The grip is what killed it for me. I like a hump as I’m someone who holds mice farther forward when i palm/claw hybrid grip. The viper just didn’t feel secure in my hand, mind you im a 20x11cm hand size so the lower profile of the viper didn’t feel good for me. It’s all preference, the mouse felt wobbly to me but it might feel stable in hand to you. Also I hate the switches, I’ll deal with the double click since I’m someone who shops at microcenter and can swap mice out every 3 years. The vipers buttons are squeaky and have a lot of pre travel IMO. To each their own tho.

@@Gamez4eveR i usually use both palm and fingertip for gaming,finger for fps and palm for lol so which one i should buy g pro or viper ult,and why allmost gamer in the world using gpw btw :v

@@huyphucnguyen5623 gpw had more marketing than rvu, that's why. It's a double clicking engineering failure of a mouse. I got traumatised by its doubleclicking and misclicking so much, I had anxiety clicking on my brand new viper ultimate after the gpw fuck the gpw, fuck logitech, their office mice are okay tho, no problems with my mx anywhere 3

@@Gamez4eveR haha ok i’ll give it a try with viper ult right now Fact : i actually using viper mini it fucking good but the size it not for my hand it just too small and dont suit for my medium hand well so i considering go for viper ult for my end game gears ;))

Does the scroll wheel have a flick right button? Like the naga? I miss that on my grip wireless as I like to bind reload to it

How is the long term durability going on the Razer Viper Ultimate?

If you have a mac like me which doesn't support razer synapse and would have to use a different computer to change settings, would you still choose the razer viper over the g pro wireless?
@metheusela55033 жыл бұрын
I use palm claw(very minor rear palm) and fingertip claw. Own both of these. Went back to the G Pro Wireless today and I don’t think I’ll ever switch again. The rear of the razer feels fatter and it hurts my thumb after a while.

Hey man, great review! I was just wondering about the mouse 1 and 2 buttons. Cause I've seen many different comments about the mouse buttons starting to act up after a while and making weird noises. Also a lot of comments about the charging dock having worse and worse connection after a while. What's your view of the matter? It's kind of a deal-breaker to buy a mouse if it's just gonna go faulty after a few months you know :)
@BijanJamshidi3 жыл бұрын
I’ve been daily driving the Viper ultimate and my girlfriend has been using my G Pro wireless and so far both have 0 issues. Other than the Viper not charging sometimes on the dock but I can easily fix it by pushing the mouse up on the dock rather than just placing it down on it.

@@BijanJamshidi Okay! Would you say there are any spesific up- or down-sides to the two mice? Or would you get pretty much the same thing out of either?

Pretty much the same. Just shape.

I'm currently on my 2nd RVU. RMB is creaking again just like my first one. I love the mouse but the price tag and the creaks that develop so quickly bothers me a lot. Do you have similar Problem?

I do have some creaking that started not long ago but it doesn’t bother me.

Same thing for me, I hated the deathadder v2 at 1st ( coming from a taller mouse) . Took a min. But starting to get used to the lower profile of the Razer and liking it . Thinking about going wireless now not sure if I should go taller or low profile and just get used to the way it doesn't feel out the palm of my hand .

But both and try em our to see what’s best, then return the other.

For me the taller mouse gives me possibility to put my hand on it and get some support. With Viper it feels like I should hold my hand in the air all the time without rest. Maybe I just still not get used to it.
