Few keypoints you forgot/didn't know to mention that I believe are important: 1. You can easily insert AAA battery and fill the rest of empty space with foil. Search for this mod online. I would say it's a must! Significant weight reduction + more balance towards center of the mouse. You can also find 3D printed cover online in order to replace with a lighter one. 2. It's a perfect FPS mouse for a laptop. Really, a quality mouse for a laptop. :)) 3. It has in-mouse memory, so you can configure once, delete the software and forget. 4. Software is somewhat crappy. And their website is a joke - it's a challenge to download up to date version of their software + you have to find the right software for logitech mouses (they have at least 2 apps)... As always, amazing content. Good job!

@ThunderKat2 жыл бұрын
Nothing can replace all those extra bottoms from the 502 and macro ability around any of them, including side-scroll... Many issues like bad cable (can be easily replace), fragile plastic that brake on the sides (you can buy a new one for that worst scenario), double click issues (require full disassemble and clean around contacts or full replace of switches)...Even after all that still there is no better replace for how good the design itself is for casual players. At this point I only imagine Logitech new version been the only possible replace. Competitive FPS = Low Weight but for everything else you do need a 502 or something close at least.

I don't comment very often but I feel the need to here. I own a g pro wireless, g502, g703 wireless, and the g305. I did extensive research but realized I just needed to try them all. I had a g502 for four years but since wireless is a thing and I love fps games? why not. I started with the g305 because it was the cheapest and had wireless light speed. I still like the mouse and used that for two months before selling it. It was fine for just browsing the web but using it for extended periods of time made my hands and wrist ache. I would like to continue gaming for longer into my life so that just wouldn't do. So I settled on the g703 wirelesss and the g pro wireless. The g703 is comfortable and ergonomic (if you're right handed). I wanted to love that mouse. It's about 20 grams heavier than the g pro wireless but you cannot tell the difference when moving it around on a mouse pad. Perhaps because it conforms to larger hands well (maybe too well) but you can get a good purchase on it without trying. Because it was designed for larger hands it is a large mouse (duh) for reference, A little taller than a g502 but the same length and width. Because it is light and big it feels hollow and clunky when you compare it to a g pro wireless. In a way this clunkiness makes it feel less responsive to move around the mat. The g pro wireless is amazing. It's not the best looking and it is expensive. I didn't think I'd like it but I can't use another mouse now. It's what the g305 should've been. It just feels like an extension of your hand on the mousepad. If you enjoy your fps games, have larger hands, and want a light mouse, then get a g pro wireless. If you want the best all around mouse get a g502 wireless. Notice I didn't mention the g502 until the end of this comment because it's just a great mouse. You'd be hard pressed to be mad you bought it. I didn't buy it because I wanted the lightest wireless mouse I could get and I have not been disappointed in going with the g pro wireless. If you're unsure then just buy them all off of amazon and return them when you've made your decision. That's my 2 cents. Hope this helps someone as I was frustrated when shopping for a new mouse because so many are so good you really have to nitpick. Just find what's comfortable
@zodspeed4 жыл бұрын
Bijan Jamshidi that doesn’t mean it’s “basically a G Pro Wireless” ... it’s literally a different mouse entirely they are nothing alike other than they’re wireless...different size, shape, and build quality. You’re just click baiting
@BijanJamshidi4 жыл бұрын
As huntsman above said, people have different shape preferences. The 305 works for some but not others. Same with the 502, 703 and so on. Most of these mice use a variant of the Hero sensor. The sensor defines the G Pro Wireless performance. Some people don’t want to spend $150 on a mouse, so there’s this, the G305. A $60 mouse, currently on sale for $50, that offers basically the same performance with a different shape and slightly more weight. Just like the g305, the G Pro Wireless’ shape is not for everyone. As huntsman said above, he tried most of Logitech’s mice in the G line to see what’s best for him. This is what you and others should do to find what feels natural to you. The main purpose of this video is to detail the performance, among other things.

I returned my G pro wireless and decided to keep the g305. I prefer the tactile clicks and weight of the 305 over the g pro. I play csgo and I had a mouse that was so hard to shoot one taps with because the mouse buttons were so easy to press that pressing it once usually resulted in multiple fires and the gpro is the same in that way. The clicks are so easy that it's hard to control your clicking when you get nervous and overly reactive in certain situations. Like you said in the video, you thought the 305 was heavier in terms of the mouse clicking and I did too. Whatever it is, it's more tactile and for me and the game I play I prefer that tactile feeling when I click mouse one because it gives me a better feeling of control when I shoot. I also use a clicky keyboard for the same reason. As for the weight, the 305 is perfect to me. Its heavy enough to stop itself. I get really jittery in clutch situations and the lightness of the g pro combined with my nerves makes it harder for me to aim in those situations. The 305 keeps my aim controlled and the weight keeps my aim steady. The 305 is perfect in my opinion. The tacticle mouse clicks are what sold me and the side bottoms stick out and feel the same way too. Awesome little mouse and my shooting and aim has improved because of it.

Razer are hot garbage for mice, especially the deathadder. Easily the worst premium gaming mouse I've ever used
@sasuak4 жыл бұрын
forgot to mention about the sleep mode, the razer sleep mode is very very annoying, u need 1-2 second to wake up. But on logitech g305 its super fast like not on sleep mode or anything, but the battery life still insane.

@bijan Jamshidi If you want to make the mouse lighter you can also opt to use lithium batteries. They last longer and they weigh less. Just a suggestion for ya and for those that are going to buy the mouse. Awesome Vid man.

Switched from GPW to my GPro Wired and just ordered this because the wire does bother me. The shape is super nice and comfortable once you get used to it and it’s hard to go back to my GPW without it feeling massive but I don’t palm my mice anymore so I think that’s why I made the switch

Both me and my GF use the G305. Mine modded to be lighter. I absolutely love it and I actually like it more than the G Pro Wireless because I tend to prefer removable batteries.

@@chaniibak7702 I 3d Printed a new battery cover and a AAA to AA battery adapter to reduce weight. As well as added PTFE feet to it. Really simple mods, but I'm quite happy with mine.

Using lithium batteries instead of alkaline can not only provide much longer battery life, but it can also significantly help the weight of the mouse as well as even out the weight distribution.

Overall tho i love the g305 so far, left mb feels a little different than right mb but thats picky because i cant remember the last time i bought a mouse where both mousebuttons actually feel the same. I also would love to have it a little tad bigger in width but thats actually the reason i like it... if you look to other mice you often see shapes or grips but on the g305 its just so easy to mod. just put some afterfarket sidegrips on and reduce weight a little and its perfect. in comparison if its a little too wide, you cant change that and sadly there isnt really a perfect mouse right out of the box, but this thing is kinda close to it. you can make the buttons stiffer, reduce weight, you could even repaint parts of it because its just plastic and not some rubberized side thingys. its perfect for modding... and i dont wanna go back to a cord ever again after like 5 minutes of using it. For this low of a price price... its such a huge deal (coming from 3 razer viper who all delivered sqeaky mouse muttons after 2 weeks) now switched to the g305 since i dont wanna pay 120 bucks for a mouse. its good. not perfect but there is nothing really wrong with the 305 either so far

I have been playing G305 for almost 8 months for mostly competitive fps game. I play it without the battery shell, it feel way more comfortable than playing with shell. Just personal preference
@mads61034 жыл бұрын
Is it still comfortable for 6-8 straight hours of use? And if so, which grip are you using, palm, claw or finger tip?
@BijanJamshidi4 жыл бұрын
It’s doable no problem for all day use on palm and claw grip only. Not fingertip. My hands are medium sized and everyone experiences different stresses differently so your mileage may vary.

I had an unlimited budget for my mouse. Still picked this one up, simply put, it has a top end sensor, it's wireless, and I need to swap out the battaries every 7 months. ( I use it at 1000 polling rate, and performance mode, I also never switch it off after I am done using it) I don't want to keep plugging my mouse in to charge and I use a huge mouse pad that has my keyboard on it and just didn't wanna deal with the lightspeed pad. Never had any issues over the past year I have had it. I even picked up 2 more and threw them onto my drawers just in case it gets discontinued.

To be honest the most important thing about a mouse is the shape and since the shape of the g305 and g pro are so drastically different I can not agree with you. They're both wireless and both logitech there for they're basically the same? nah. Anyone who has tried a g pro and a g305 will know how different they feel in the hand. Doesn't mean the 305 is a bad mouse, I have one and love it and think its the best mouse you can get for under $50, but there's a reason why so many pro players use the g pro over the 305, and its not because they all have a ton of disposable income. The Razer Viper Ultimate would be a better comparison to the g305 in my opinion. but what the hell do I know

I bought this mouse last week ... after using it for few days. Here my thoughts: 1. the lightspeed wireless is as good as wired. You cant really tell the differences. no lag at all... 2. Came from 4 years of zowie ZA13 ( which went double click problem : the reason I bought G305).... I realised that Hero sensor in this model seems not smooth compared to PMW3310 in my zowie. at 400dpi, it seems skipping certain pixel, giving rough movement, especially in csgo, when want to flick. Probably the 'best Hero' is Hero 16K in expensive mouse like yours G pro. 3. Lift off distance is so high & its fixed, cannot changeable. After used to my low LOD zowie ZA13, the first few minutes Im using G305, I have some sudden mouse movement that going off, random, especially when want to recenter... I guess my muscle memory of ZA13 LOD needs to get used to new G305 LOD.
@gtc41894 жыл бұрын
Skipping pixels... nope. Seems to me like your aim is just adjusting from a different mouse
@ulyssessait4 жыл бұрын
_ GTC _ u should try mouse with pmw3310 & this hero. Not hero 16K. Totally different man.
@ulyssessait4 жыл бұрын
_ GTC _ I dunno the exact term to explain. Easy way, it is not smooth.
@ulyssessait4 жыл бұрын
_ GTC _ “The Hero had this annoying LOD bug where the cursor behaves irratically if you were to lift & land down the mouse in a certain position, caused by the lens being positioned at angle - so I assume the new lens on the 16K was to solve this issue and it clearly did for me. It should be taken with a grain of salt, because it all comes down to perception; the Hero didn't feel as raw as the 3360 but the difference wasn't as big as between the 3310 vs 3360. The 16K Hero is a lot closer, still a shame that it doesn't have LOD adjustment again.” Copied from reddit discussion. So all I felt about that mouse was right. LOD problem, & the smoothness. (Not as raw as PMW3310).. I guess, Hero 16k was developed to fix Hero problem
@ulyssessait4 жыл бұрын
Enzo never used hero16k. But yes Im from 3310 & 3360

HA I've got pretty large hands myself but the g pro wireless sucks because I use a palm grip exclusively and after aim training for just an hour my pinky and ring finger starts hurting at the knuckles. I switched to the G703 just yesterday and my hand no longer hurts after a long gaming session. Shape is more important than weight.

My only issue with this mouse is that lifting it off the mousepad at all makes it stop tracking, I used a wired rival 3 for 3 years before recently looking at wireless mouses and it tracks when lifted slightly off the mousepad. I initially bought the rival 3 wireless and it was a hot turd, after the 4th day it fell off my desk, hit my carpeted floor, and no longer works.
