I have larger hands and I've been using this mouse for over a year now and I can say I do not regret my purchase at all. I mainly play shooters and it's by far the best mouse for them I've ever used. I got the version with the charging dock and the dock itself is the only thing I don't like about it. Maybe it's just mine because I was unlucky and got a faulty one, but the lighting always switches off after 20 minutes and 90% of the time doesn't even charge the mouse when it's mounted. Could be a hardware issue but I wouldn't rule out a software issue since Razer has always had horrid software.

At the same price (or within a $10 range), the Viper Ultimate is in its own league compared to the Gretxa. Gretxa is a great mouse for those on a budget though so all comes down to how cheaply you can find either mouse and how much your budget will stretch to. Seeing Gretxa V2 retailing for around the $85 with tax and shipping so it's kinda getting close to the $99 that the Viper Ultimate and Dock are selling for on Amazon atm.

Build quality and sensor tbh, 3370 isn't bad but viper uses the 3399 (Focus+) which has fantastic tracking and still not seen outside of a Razer mouse. Rubberised sides, better battery life, charging dock and optical clicks... It's just better quality and spec in pretty much every way but at MSRP it's a bit more expensive.

Hey how does this compare to the aerox 3 wireless ... idk why people hate on the aerox 3 but still
@GoodEnoughTechReviews2 жыл бұрын
I think people hate on the Aerox because SteelSeries don't tend to change too much with their products very often. Although they arguably don't need to when they have products that continually sell well (Apex Pro, QcK etc...) In terms of similarity to the Aerox, from memory the Aerox has a more pronounced flare out on the back, more similar to the Endgame Gear XM1 and less inward curves at the grip. The viper also has much more noticeable comfort grooves on M1/2 which are the biggest difference for me at least in terms of feel in use. Was going to revisit the Aerox 3 with the new ghost edition actually but from memory of using it previously this is about as much as I can recall, hope this helps and thanks for checking out the video!

In all honesty, for the average person who isn't using their mouse for competition, not in the slightest, and even then, the benefits are debatable. 15ms is still a decent latency and I think if the shape is a better fit for you then the added latency will be far less detrimental to your play than feeling uncomfortable with your grip.

@@kokhoelim40 The black is 4 grams lighter so it comes down to preference really. I couldn't feel the 4g weight difference myself going 74-78g and I preferred the look and feel of the white coating enough to add the weight. Ultimately, if all you care about is the lowest weight (and price) the black is the better option yeah as it's often heavily discounted whilst the white/pink/cyberpunk editions rarely see discounts. Hope this helps!

amazing vid. I have the GPX and I want to get a viper ultimate or a zowie za13-c..
@GoodEnoughTechReviews2 жыл бұрын
I mean, if you're using a GPX you're kind of already goated, that's an amazing mouse! Only real reason I'd suggest a Viper Ultimate to a GPX user is if you're finding the GPX too wide or the palm curve too high. Otherwise, just be happy with your God mouse =D

kinda deciding between the RVU and the GPW, i can get them both for about the same price (105-110€), but the superlight (which is the one i want the most) is hard to find under 125€ and its just too much imo. kinda wanna go for the viper just because of the dock and better switches (my current g502 started double clicking after only about a year and i dont think they changed the switches on the original gpw, just the superlight), but the side buttons being so indented in the shell scare me a bit. is it really that bad? or will i be able to get used to it after a few days? love the video btw! :)
@GoodEnoughTechReviews2 жыл бұрын
Honestly comes down to your comfort with the shape between the two. Viper Ultimate side buttons really are still a weak point on it yeah sadly. They're usable and you can get used to it but they'll never be good side buttons. They made them low profile so the opposite side ones you're not using don't get in the way of your grip. On the GPW you get magnetic caps to replace the buttons you're not using instead, much better solution tbh.

@@GoodEnoughTechReviews thanks! i think i'll just wait to see if theres any black friday sales for the superlight, if not i'll just go for whichever one is cheaper in the moment between the RVU and GPW. Worst case scenario i can just return and get the other one

Odd, can you buy from Amazon UK and have it shipped to EU? Believe shipping intl is free within Amazon network?
@blink_mamba95952 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you've already bought a mouse, but I recommend the RVU. I have both but sadly, I had to return the GPW Superlight because it started double clicking in just over five months. As for the side buttons, you can buy the universal grip tape set from razer and get the smallest hexagon, cut it in half, and place it on the side buttons. It makes the mouse perfect. Plus you can apply the rectangular ones on MB1/2
@merkuda38052 жыл бұрын
1. Skate s are good enough for the job 2. Side buttons are still like that because you won't want to hit them accidentally 3. Just buy the grip tape and aftermarket skates and don't complain since you don't like them 4. It's better to have it for lighting and adjustable everything just download it once and just don't care about it 5. The weight justified for a mouse that can last that long without charge and RGB + optical sensors and more side buttons. This is one of the best mice in my opinion since the software is great price is good you get a dock and everything. A very informative and good video but i think i have said some things to convince you.

I think all your points are fair - ultimately it's going to come down to preference. I do like the Viper Ultimate, so much that I bought a 2nd copy =D, but I do think that it's really a better buy at the $99 price tag it currently is, for $150 it feels a little on the high end for a 2 year old product. I appreciate it's a great mouse but I think the GPX superlight being available at a lower price and weight, kind of makes the RVU a little less attractive at full MSRP is all. Thank you for watching and your thoughtful feedback though, I don't disagree with any of the points at all.
@merkuda38052 жыл бұрын
@@GoodEnoughTechReviews I agree that it is a high price point and that it's a 2-year-old product. The dock itself is 50 dollars so the mouse is a 100 you can see it on the razer website and it's nice to have a thing you can just slap the mouse on and go for lunch and don't have to worry about the battery % It is a great mouse option (but it would be great if they added for 50 dollars less a mouse without the dock so it's cheaper) .
@GoodEnoughTechReviews2 жыл бұрын
@@merkuda3805 You can buy the mouse without the dock on the EU/US sites like you said, although it's only $30/£30 less. Yeah I think the Razer website price just isn't accurate anymore, amazon and general store prices are around $100-110 with the dock which is why I said in the review that at that price I think it's still really worth the money when you compare the competition.

How do you find it for gaming?
@GoodEnoughTechReviews2 жыл бұрын
@@Hankercheif I didn't really like it stock, the keycaps are really loose and wobble a lot - had to mod it to improve tolerances and fix the keycaps to the switches more firmly. I do really like how gaming feels on a low profile keyboard though. It's also got 0 latency wireless too, so it looks really clean on a minimalist desk without cables and clutter, especially if you also use a wireless mouse. If you don't mind having a keyboard cable I think the Fnatic Streak65 LP is a better feeling low profile keyboard to game on overall in my opinion. Although it's only a 65% board so you'd lose the Fn row and some of the system function keys. Ultimately down to how much keycap wobble bothers you and if you're prepared to pay the extra for the wireless capability on the g915, but both are great performing boards.

Logitech g915 TKL in white, it's pretty nice for a wireless low profile board but if wireless isn't a necessity for you, I'd say the Fnatic Streak65 LP is probably a better value low profile board. Both decent though so check them out and see if you like either.
