Thank you everyone for the support, it's really appreciated. 🍻 I have one clarification concerning my comments about the off center sticks issue when Deadzones are set to zero. When I said I hope this is fixed in the firmware update, I meant I hope razor adds a way for users to recalibrate the sticks themselves. I think that would fix the issue. In my experience the stick offsets when the deadzone is set to zero is to be expected with any controller. If a controller has a "true" zero deadzone setting then any minor defects in the stick and spring will become apparent as they prevent the stick from going exactly 100% back to true center each time. The numbers will be different each time you let go of the sticks as they're physically resting in a different positions every time - this is why deadzones were created. Any controller that shows perfect 0's when the deadzone is set to zero is lying to you and is still using a small deadzone. Also worth mentioning is that most games have their own deadzones in addition to the hardware deadzone, so in practice you can set it to zero on the controller and games will not be affected by the imperfections in the sticks/springs, unless you also reduce the game deadzone setting all the way to zero as well. Ideally you just find the lowest settings that don't drift for each game.

I just noticed the "Prevent double deadzones" setting - would be really interesting to see how disabling that affects the results with deadzone set to zero.

For casual racing, like Forza Horizon 5, would this be a good controller to use? Or would others like the Elite Series 2 or the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra be better? I currently use an old standard Xbox One controller. Google says the average hand size is 7.6 inches in length, which mine are over an inch shorter than, so I'd say I have small hands.
@chronicmayhemАй бұрын
@@classiccj2569 I think this is Miles better than the elite series 2 and the turtle Beach stealth controller. And since you have the option to switch back to analog triggers, it should work perfectly fine for racing games. What makes this controller better than those other two is that if you do want to play a first person shooter turning on the trigger stops you get the mouse, click triggers which the elite series 2 and the turtle Beach do not have. The elite series 2 and the turtle Beach instead use a piece of plastic that slides into place to just act like a trigger stop. And overall this controller has better build quality than those as well. Edit. I missed the small hands question. That's A harder question to answer. You might not have the same issue I had with the hand grips being a little too short for me. @chronicmayhem28 күн бұрын
@BedRockgood It's optional and completely not necessary. I mention it because some people get really anal about having zero dead zone on their controllers. But in reality no it's not necessary and some people may not even like it. On some controllers I don't like having zero dead zone because then the controller becomes very touchy if that makes any sense. This being a hall effect controller you should not need to worry about stick drift really at all theoretically. The chance of getting stick drift on a hall effect joystick versus a traditional joystick is far far far lower. That's the advantage of this technology.

Are you nuts? I tried one of those 1 time. Felt like my fingers were gonna fall off trying to reach those buttons. I love 1 finger use buttons where I flick between the buttons and these didn’t work for me.
