It is nice buuuut I got the Dual Sense because they said the Xbox version of the Razer is way better than the Playstation version. Battery life does suck but outside of that I'm happy.

If you are a “high level” fps player meaning you are trying to play competitive or just at the highest possible level there is no reason to get a Wolverine V3. I tried it out and have already returned mine. There are so many issues; 1.) The controller dropped with dead zone issues that needed updates to fix 2.) The hal sticks drift out of box and need to be calibrated on a PC 3.) there is a weak spring keeping the sticks in place that lead to there being no true center of the stick, leading to inconsistent aim. 4.) The sticks have tested and reported very slow numbers when compared to other controller. 5.) There is a reason why almost no pro controller players use hal effects, as they are less consistent than a normal pent controller. Obviously none of this matters if you just want to chill and play casual games, but just save your time on this controller if you want to play fps.

I disagree I think the V3 made my aim better and after stick calibration there is no noticeable drift on 0% dead zones and the 250/1000hz is huge for comp players. When you calibrate you manually set the true center of the stick. Your problem was not knowing how to set up the controller correctly. Leading you to return it. And that is actually a common thing with this controller. Razer does not explain how to calibrate it. You have to look it up on YT.

I've been testing the wolverine V3 tournament edition and the Flydigi vader 4 pro side by side for a week now and watching all videos on here I can find to get other perspectives. My main issue that's keeping me from loving the razer is also the ergonomics. It has a way of leaving an indention on the side of my middle finger knuckle area. I've tried only using the razer for a whole day or two and forcing myself into different ways of holding it. Keeping my hands lower on the grips, with the middle finger in the pocket of that curve is the best way I could find to hold it. All 4 fingers are nicely placed over all 4 back buttons. I've always used just two paddles, even the elite series controllers, I would only use with two paddles on the back. And surprisingly, I've had very little accidental button presses on the 4 paddles. However, while forcing myself into this abusive relationship with the wolverine v3, the vader 4 pro does nothing but treat me very well lol. I have almost no complaints with this feature packed, nicely priced controller. Except, I do wish it had those 2 extra top buttons that razer adds.

I'm torn too between the Vader 4 pro and wolverine v3. I really need 6 extra buttons and Flydigi doesn't offer it. Also the Vader 4 pro is better for fps games. There are some drifts in the razer controller. Some users couldn't fix it even after updating to the latest firmware.

I played xbox growing up. I swapped to PlayStation last year and after playing GOW I was used to the sticks being different. I like both. The only pro controller I’ve had is the edge and I love it!

Those top buttons are not at all "better" for a "Claw" grip. They are actually easier to manage with a "standard" grip. Have no clue why Razer suddenly are marketing them as buttons specifically for Claw-grips... Been using those buttons on a Razer controller since 2016 and i have used both grips and can say confidently say that objectivly those buttons are invaluable for both grips, but best for standard grip.

Well, you can't say back buttons/paddles are made for claw players because they obviously aren't, and they can't even reach them anyway using claw. The buttons on the top are the easiest to reach it basically gives claw players an extra button that's in the most convenient position to reach. Where else would you consider a better position for an extra button should be for claw players? Point proven

The reason the paddles were made in the first place was so that you didnt have to use claw -> You can access face-buttons whilst having full focus on your sticks... I dont know what kind of twisted claw grip ur using, but u can easily access the back-pads with said grip. The top buttons basically gives both grips an extra button, and its objectivly easier to manage with a standard grip. Did you even read my comment? Also, I do understand that people play however they want, but whats the point of using a claw-grip when you have paddles on the controller... Make it make sense

I don’t use controller anymore but when I did, i used 2 paddles out of 4 on. One for jumping and the other for sliding. The point of paddles on a controller is to never move your right thumb off of the stick. So if you want to use the other two paddles for reloading and weapon swaps.. that’s what it’s for lol

Ps has sensitivity settings for the triggers so u can have 0 dead zone which is more reactive than the tactile razer switches

I grew up with the SNES and Genesis controllers, so playstation was just an evolution of that design adding 2 analog sticks but keeping the same form factor for the most part. Thus my vote goes for playstation style. Its always felt more comfortable to me. Even after playing on an xbox 360 controller for a couple of years, nothing feels like home than a dual shock. But the floating dpad on the razer controller is straight fire.

I have the same issue with my finger hurting. I have to wear a sleeve on my finger to play COD. I believe the issue is the xbox layout of asymmetrical joysticks which is why i'm leaning towards the playstation layout.

Just ordered one. Hope it will be my end game. My “end game Xbox elite 2” drifted. My second end game Xbox elite 2 core drifted. My Dualsense Edge drifted. The replacement stick for it never be in stock. And with the cost of it, I can buy a whole new controller. Sadly, I love ps5 layout. I can use my index finger to press directional buttons while controlling the analog stick. I use that a lot when I need to run, look around and switch the weapon or commu to team mates at the same time.

The razer looks good and all and I love the way they did the thumbsticks to prevent controller drift so hopefully they do release a PS one because it blows the dual sense edge out of the water. Better battery life, no controller drift, more customization, it’s not even a debate.

If you plug the razer in and put it in pc mode it gets very low latency. For most pc players plugging in is the norm anyway.

i only ran 2 paddles on elite controller. but on the v3 i'm currently using 3. if i could remove the paddles i'd probably use 2. and i heard somewhere that they can't use magnetic thumbsticks because it would interfere with hall effect. not sure if true, but that's what i heard. the left middle finger bone thing is because the handle grips are shorter than normal controller, so your hand has to be up higher. i had the issue on elite controller, but it is worse on v3. that's why i do 3 paddles. i push my middle towards right side of controller, relieves pressure but then i can't hit any paddles. so i use ring finger on left hand to work bottom paddle. and the two right paddles. worth tradeoff for all the elite controller issues.

The only reason i don’t play my PS5 more is cause of the thumb sticks. I much much prefer the offset sticks. Also the sticks on PS are convex vs concave and that to isn’t good for me. Xbox Controller all the way for me, i would like to check out the Wolverine. Heard good things for it.

There isn't a controller made that dosen't blow the dualsense pro yes it finally has back buttons but in order to play for more than 2 hours straight you need to use the cord what is the point to have a wireless controller when you have to use a cord? PS won't listen to there consumers. I have the normal PS5 controller and I can't play it more than 3 hours straight. On the other hand you have the elite xbox controller you can go over a week with more than 5 hours a day without charging it and you get 2 more back buttons who makes the razor controller oh that's right not PS. Don't get me wrong I love the new ps5 controller it's sooooo much better than any other controller that PS has ever made but it has garbage battery. I hardly ever play my PS5 cause I'm always charging it. That's why I own a Xbox series X. Because I got a better controller with a battery that last and 2 more buttons and I paid less for it.

simple... its a bad copy of the series 2 controller... includeing the bad input delay.... had to send it back 6 times cause of not working buttons or stick drift out of the box... i recommend putting a mark on the controller before returning, cause i got one defect controller returned twice bsck to me with the same problem and no repair. switched now to a aimcontroller and those are perfect with a lifetime warrenty.
