I have never clicked on a video so fast!!! I can't tell you how frustrating it is to be in Chem Warehouse or Priceline with a Dr Dray video pulled up on my phone with all the "best affordable drug store sun screens" and literally none of them are to be found in Australia. Or they are but the formulation is slightly different so I don't really know what I'm getting. Thanks for taking one for the team, and I'm relieved that the two sunscreens I've been using were on your best of list :)

I agree so much with your opinion on tinted sunscreens. I would rather have a spf with the highest protection possible, that doesn't sting eyes, feels amazing on the skin and doesn't have a white cast rather than something with color in it which doesn't match a lot of shades so most of the time tinted spfs are a waste of money for me
@raziamoe3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yes agreed. Shade range is a huge issue as well with SPF. If only companies would just work on not having a white cast rather than tinted SPF lol.

Thank you SO much for this!! I am on a medication for acne that makes me very photosensitive to the sun. Not good with Aussie sun ;-;. Add in English/Scandinavian/Scottish/white af heritage aka skin and sun do not Vibe™ , sunscreen is VERY necessary for me. However, I'm autistic (so have sensory hypersensitivity disorder) so finding a sunscreen that won't make me want to immediately wash it off is hard. The ones that leave a white cast that doesn't go away especially are yick sensory wise, so that info is really good to have. So basically this was VERY EXTREMELY HELPFUL SO THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Really helpful video and you have a fantastic voice. One comment: I think its worth mentioning which have alcohol and which don't.
@raziamoe3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Honestly alcohol in sunscreens is not something I really take note of. And I think its a sunscreen ingredient that's been wrongly demonised. Most sunscreens (esp the good ones) have alcohol and its not a bad thing at all. Helps make the formula much nicer to wear and is a good solvent for a lot of UV filters. I avoid alcohol in the rest of my skincare so a bit in my sunscreen really doesn't bother me if that makes sense.

Amazing straightforward review, thank you so much! I have the Neutrogena Hydro Boost but it stung my eye so bad so I only use it on my neck area (or areas below my chin) now. I really love La Roche Posay Anthelios though. Hoping to try out the Ultra Violette soon!

Thanks for watching! Oh man the Neutrogena eye sting is no joke! Oh yes UV sunscreens are amazing, must try :)

Hmm... Aussie sunscreens how can you leave out Mecca’s to save face. I used that easily for over 10 years. New favourite is the Ultraviolet lean screen for my oily skin

I had a bad experience with it a year ago and only recently tried it again since they reformulated it. I have a review on my instagram and will be including it in my next sunscreen video :)

Came here for this comment because Omg the new oxybenzoate free one is literally the only sunscreen that won’t give me an allergic reaction

I’m so glad this fell into my recommended videos! I’ve become such a sunscreen hoarder because there aren’t many videos like this 😅 I literally have an excel spreadsheet of the sunscreens I like hahahaha. Subscribed and going to go and binge watch more of your vids!

I definitely agree with your choices here but disappointed not to see the Mecca 50+ spf! I feel like it knocks supreme screen out the park :O
@raziamoe3 жыл бұрын
Ok so long story short with that Mecca sunscreen. Id used it back in 2019 and had a bad experience. But after filming this video here I actually decided to revisit it since so many mentioned it in the comments. I tried it again (the reformulated one) and loved it. I intend to make a sequel of this video and will include the Mecca spf in there. I have to say I still prefer Supreme tho haha ☺️

Thank you so much for making this video, you have no idea how much this has helped me. As a person with fairly dark, oily and acne prone skin, it has been very hard for me trying to find the right sunscreen. I used the Cetaphil one, and like you said, it was so bad it made me stop wanting to wear sunscreen. Chemist has a sale and free shipping delivery right now, so I will be buying many that were in your top mentions. Once again, thank you!!!

Oh man I'm so happy to hear that!! I hope you find that one ideal sunscreen!! And I also have another sunscreen review video that I posted recently in case you wanted some more options to choose from hahah ❤️

Nice video, I like reviews like this, not too preachy or fear mongering about the fragrance or certain filters, but focusing on the result and you disclose your skin type, which helps the viewer to adjust to their needs and what they search for in their spf ... I did notice something with the videos in which you apply the spf - you have gorgeous eyes, but you often skip or underapply the spf on you eyelids, so I say this with the best intentions, don't skip your eyelids.
@raziamoe3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yes I'm over the fear mongering tbh I'm happy to hear I'm not contributing to that haha. Oh thank you! I definitely take care to apply spf on the eyelids on the daily but I may have been rushing and skipped that when filming these try ons vids haha. My bad 😅

You have to try 2xp from chemist warehouse, I use the hydrate one on my face but they make specific ones for your face, and they're honestly amazing fragrance free and all that!!!

Love this video review. Finding an Aussie location / chemist warehouse / supermarket affordable product review video is amazing. I have been buying and testing sunscreens out myself finding it frustrating to find the right one. Sooo glad I watched this review as it's saving me so much time and money, with all the facts I wonder myself about the sunscreens (white cast, thickness, greasiness, does it sink it, ball up etc etc). Love that I can see the application cause really that's the ultimate test once its applied to a full face and not just on the hand testing in stores. Love the ranking system too ❤️
