I would love to see you add a front disc brake. Maybe rear too. My little girl needs to be able to stop when I overvolt hers. Her safety is in your hands! Just kidding. Love the look of the wheels as well.

Yeah I need to find a reliable bracket for the front. Also a wheel that fits with a disc brake rotor mount

What’s the advantage of the 13 tooth sprocket that you have linked? Didn’t hear you cover it in the video.

Love your videos. Planning to install the same headlight on a 48v sx500 overvolt, do you think a step down is needed or should be just fine without for a direct tap into the wires? Thanks!

Can u add a brake light with the headlight switch and witch wires off the controller did you use to make the headlight work

I can't seem to figure out how to mount this same light on a mx350. I see the screw on the mx650 bike you installed it on. Am I missing something. Any help would be much appreciated. On the yellow mx650 I see some sort of mount on the handlebars. I did by nilights handle bar mount but the metal is too thick to slide under the handlebars. Wondering if something like that would work.

I hate to tell you this, but from my experience, the heat gun trick is a temporary fix. The white will come back. So don't get carried away with polishing the plastics. Maybe get a bunch of stickers.
@PatOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
I may just vinyl-wrap all the plastics on all my bikes eventually if it bothers me later on

What would I do to make this bikes battery to last longer? My 7 year old daughter loves this little bike but it's kinda slow and only last about 15 minutes before needing charged again. Thank you for any help
@PatOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Larger capacity lithium battery. Take the covers off and measure for the largest dimensions you are comfortable fitting in there

I have a question could the original razor mx350 throttle work with the mx650 speed controller?
@PatOutdoors11 ай бұрын
No, different design. No variable speed, basically an on/off switch

I'm running the mx650 controls but my battery is a 48v 20ah motor is 36v how do go into hooking up head lights and break lights with burning them out in my set up thanks in advance
@PatOutdoors4 ай бұрын
Run a 48V to 12V voltage step down converter, sharing power source with the controller, but ONLY supplying power to the 12V accessories.

36v to stock 350w motor? How has the motor held up?
@PatOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Didn't put too much time on this bike before I gave it away and moved on to bigger bikes like QS138-powered yamaha's. Though I hear it's still functioning fine to this day. I've hear of adult riders burning them out after a while though

Just completed the 36v overvolt conversation on my grandsons mx350 i order the same style headlight you have and as soon as i put power to it it blew out any suggestions
@PatOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Run an in-line 10 amp fuse next time. Also you can add a voltage step down converter like this amzn.to/3K8GXQR I use this on my other 4 razor builds with the same headlight and even higher voltage (72v) battery
@rayduffy915 Жыл бұрын
@@PatOutdoors I used a power source from the controller maybe i should have attached it right to the 36v battery.I just completed the the kit and my grandson took it for a ride this morning it went right around 25mph thanks for listing all those parts to get it was a big help thank you now just to get headlight working and also is there tailights that you can get for the mx350 with the overvolt kit i see on the controller there is a plug that says taillight
@PatOutdoors Жыл бұрын
@@rayduffy915 Glad to hear you got it to go faster! As far as a taillight.. I have not tried it on these type of controllers before. I only have experience making a whole harness from scratch to make it work on my kelly controller powered MX's

You running a 36v battery right? I installed the same headlight and switch. Worked after install. Battery was low. Charged it and just tested and doesnt not work. Tested straight to battery no deal. Tested the 2nd light bar straight to 36v battery no work. But i did test that 2nd light bar to a straight 12v battery early today to make sure it worked and it did. Do u think 36v is to much and fried it??
@PatOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm running 36V on this bike with the LED light, no step-down converter. I do run a step-down converter for my Nilight bars on my other bikes w/ 52V and 72V batteries though. Where exactly did you tap into the power source? I use the same power source as the controller.
@PatOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Also did you run a 10-amp inline fuse for it?
@iunek5558 Жыл бұрын
I tapped into the brake light option from the fast scooter controller. Tested it before crimping them and all worked all day yesterday. No i didnt add a inline fuse. U think both are fried since i tested it straight to 36v?
@PatOutdoors Жыл бұрын
@@iunek5558 Wouldn't the brake light plug only apply power once brake is activated..? Also did you put a voltmeter on it all for testing?
@iunek5558 Жыл бұрын
No its a brake light option plug for a constant rear light. I figured it out, the light bars a bad. I saw walmart has the same type/size light with dual color which is white and amber for $21 but just 1 light. Figure i test it to see if i had a bad light which i did. Gonna return to lights to amazon and mayb get a warranty threw nilight. Im gonna add a inline fuse with 20amp and see what happens on the 36v. If dont work then i will return to walmart. Walmart light tested straight to 12v battery on my quad so i know it works.
