Skiboards are fun. I have these, these got me off the greens and onto the whole mountain. LOVE THESE. YES, people will say dumb things, I don’t care, I’m having fun

Yeah! I still have my Line Jedi’s from 2000 and I dont care what people say…you can be enjoying the whole mountain on your first day back each year!

You don't need poles with those. I have the RVL8 Revolt Skiboards. They're amazing! Where my Line Mike Nick Pro Boyz and galz at?

Yeah, I agree, it looks funny to have ski poles with these! :) Nice video!

i have green ones, you can go backwards the same as forwards which is very intmidating for typical skiers, they are almost offended what you can do, btw tyrolia bindings should be stored in closed position without boots

If you’re a beginner these are the best way to start having fun the quickest way possible. Way easier than full sized ski and you won’t need the extra length until you get much better (if ever really).

I love short skies and they do well on most groomed runs. piles of fun!! I think they are coming back around as being a little more common and accepted

They are super fun

Great for starting/begginers. If you are going down some steep stuff, especially if it is icy, you can’t gain speed because of the lack of friction the razzles produce.

Also, if you go on a ungroomed or well used run, you will be bouncing around like crazy and it will hurt

These exact ones changed my life! I’m 5ft. tall, in my 30’s, and hated the skis I was given from a pro shop. When I switched to blades, I fell in love. I’m on my 3rd year using them and just clocked 30 mph on a run with plenty of control, which is huge for me! I was a slow beginner and thought I’d never make it off the bunny slope until I switched. It gave me so much more confidence.

If you have a good technical ski level you can go much faster than that. I usually go up to 55+ mph with my skiboards. Well i'd probably go up to 70 with regular skis but still, it's fun :)

not a lot of razzle or dazzle from the skier...
@MrGizmo2113 жыл бұрын
The skier tried to razzle dazzle but I crashed after the jump. Fortunately the video wasn’t captured.

I used Skiboards decades ago when I was younger, first generation of them with the non-release bindings. Amazing. I was a black diamond skier and switching to these were so much fun that I never looked back. Took a long break and was sad to see them fall out of style but so happy to see them making a resurgence. May need to pick it up again and get onto the mountain with my kids. Only issue I ever had with mine back in the day was with a lot of powder because they are short and you tend to sink if you don't have speed (not as much displacement). But I skied Symphony Bowl at Whistler and Blackcomb Glacier with them so definitely doable, just if super fresh powder or a lot of fluff, you may have issues. Groomed runs though and especially ice, these are amazing especially if you're chasing your friends with a Go-Pro like I used to as you can go backward and spin around as well as forwards with ease to keep people in frame.

How long were these particular skiblades? I’ve seen some summit ones at 96cm just wondering as a beginner whether I should go shorter? Thanks

they look like fun and I'm just looking for a change of pace when skiing with family/kiddo
@jackripper60332 жыл бұрын
Did you even need to use ski poles with how short these are? Just wondering. Thanks.
@MrGizmo2112 жыл бұрын
Nope - you don’t!

I didn't think I needed poles with these but glad I had them.

I've had these for years and I love them. I've done black diamond runs and even a little deep powder. Though you really have to lean back to keep them floating. But I've definitely been judged by people. I had a guy on a lift ask why I'm wearing "fruit boot"

I know - super fun!! Let them judge :)

Can you rent these in Colorado?
@kordeyne2 жыл бұрын
I rented those exact ones in Colorado this weekend at steamboat. They are a lot of fun. You need less skill to handle harder terrain. Great for trees and moggles. But they don’t get you quite as much speed so if you are with people that like to go down really fast you won’t be able to keep up.
@shadowcastyt2 жыл бұрын
@@kordeyne you can go plenty fast in them if you know what you’re doing, Talonsei, a semi-pro/pro skiboarder (skiboards are the actual name for these) has videos of him going 80+ mph on groomers
@hughseagraves70362 жыл бұрын
I rented them at Loveland in January 2022.

Ski poles?

What is wrong with non-release bindings on skiboards? What is the purpose of release bindings on the skiboards? I understand release bindings on long skis, but for the skiboards release bindings is just a marketing to sell you more.
@johnred39026 ай бұрын
I believe it's for safety reasons
@fabricebacquart5 ай бұрын
No that's dangerous misinformation right there. Non-release bindings mean your leg can get twisted awkwardly if you fall, you can break your leg or even worse. They should be illegal (i don't think they make those for skiboards anymore anyway).
