Great draft. Picked up both the Doak Walker best RB award winner here, and the Jim Thorpe award winner DB Coby Bryant, while getting a top rated LT and adding a good RT, addressing the hybrid LB/DE need with the new 3-4 defense, and then getting a couple of WRs that remind me of Golden Tate and DK, plus a converted WR to CB 6'4" guy that is fast and willing to hit. Strangely, half the guys they picked are exactly who came up as best available when I ran automated mock drafts. Just a good solid draft to build on, and some interested UDFAs as well. The Wisconsin safety Nelson is fast, smart, hits hard for instance, and they signed a couple of QBs to add to the competition. Will be looking forward to the rookie camp news.

Fun fact since entering the league Richard Penny has only played in 56 percent of games. He has never played all 16 games for a season. On average, Penny played in 9.25 games per season. Chris Carson has only a played in 60 percent of games and has also never been healthy for a season. On average, Carson played in 9.8 games per season. I think this a big problem.

Penny is going to be OK and the lead back. They were asking him to run the ball up the gut like beastmode. He's an outside zone rb. He got hurt running in that offense. This should be a dual threat. Penny and walker compliment each others style. And let Drew slang that thing. He's an old school gunslinger and should have the opportunity to dominate 3rd down.

The best running back in the country wasn’t falling anywhere past where we got him at lol. We were lucky because that kid is dominant and you cannot pass him. Especially with Breece Hall being taken by the Jets earlier. It made the demand for running backs go higher.

One of them was Luck who was amazing until the Colts got him k*lled. We got lucky with Wilson. Expecting another future HOF qb late in the draft is highly unrealistic and just irrational. Next year is the time to get a qb.

And since we drafted Wilson there has been only one non first round QB that is a plus starter and thatd Dak. Not taking Malik was a right choice for us. We dont have a veteran that Malik could study from for a year, unlike Titans. Why bother drafting him when we could draft Young or Stroud next year.
