Everyone (including myself) watched this performance under the prediction that they were going to win DCI that year. The talent level was probably higher than BD that year. Everyone flocked to this corps to march the anniversary season and play Fiddler On The Roof. Many hopefuls got sent walking during those early camps. This performance displayed that talent. As I sat in in one of the seats after my performance with the Freelancers, I could not have even dreamed that what I was witnessing was going to place 7th (8th the night before in Semifinals).

Wow - I've been telling people we played "Far From the Home I Love" for a warmup for years. I loved that piece. Now here it is - my proof. Thank you!

I marched 1991-1996. I miss what drum corps used to be. I'm not a huge fan of the big production shows on the field these days.

I'm glad the made the changes they did. This ended up being my favorite show ever despite how low the judges thought of it. They always suck though.

That small window of time in the early 90's where SCV's drumline was superior to BD (91-93).

Those ScoJo lines are just amazing, whether he is teaching SCV or BD

well one could argue 87, 88, 89 and 90 were all superior to BD... good stuff...

@@StephenKershaw1 I love those SCV years too. For me it’s apples and oranges in terms of contrasting style and approach when comparing SCV and BD during those years. That said another era of SCV superiority is of course, 2016-19
