I was there either in 96 or 97. Amazing looking at that yard in Port Jervis how abandoned it looks. So much track gone. That place was hopping back in the day.

Apparently, she is getting restored. Someone completely funded it, and she is getting restored at Strasburg of all places. Pretty awesome.

Ah ty my dear husband took me on this as my grandfather rip got me hooked on trains he was master mechanic steamers kingsland shops lyndhurst nj Delaware Lackawanna and western rr or delayed late and weary the moodna viaduct the otisville tunnel led by a steamers is a great thing

I own the headlight from steam engine #1116 out of the port Morris New Jersey yard. The 462 was a passenger train built in 1922 and retired in 1953. (GREAT VIDEO)

The 614 wasn't actually native to NJ, The main steam power that had a prominent place in the garden state were the CNJ Erie and Lackawanna Railroads as their mainlines terminated at the Hudson front.
