Just a note - the target was not to make a precise replica of the real Biskupice 2004 stage, but to make a new fun RBR stage which is based on this stage. There are some places which were taken from the current version (like the S turn in the forest section, the new road to Ludkovice and some more), we have also added some extra objects not found in 2004 stage - just to make it more fun, challenging, or to prevent from excessive shorting / cutting. This comment reflects the whole RBR concept of a "sim" : let's make it more "fun" than real life. Meaning obstacoles just in the right places ;) and less lateral grip than a real rally car. My respects for the mod community, but let's face it : they are praising RBR just becouse it's the only rally game so easy to modify everything in it.

@@mihaitoma5443 Let's this stage is the only (public) virtual rally stage based on laserscan, so the road surface has ~5cm accuracy, with physics material carefully edited to match the reality. The only thing we did differently is that we added some extra chicanes to make the long straights more fun and changed the old tarmac for new one in the last section, plus some minor vegetation tweaks. If we are asked to make an absolute replica of a real stage, we can do it (and we do, but for private purposes). How did you measure that grip? Which of those 20 tarmac or 25 gravel surfaces did you test, which car, tyres pressure, setup, temperature ...? RBR didn't support modding btw, but the programmers decided to spend many years by reverse-engineering all those proprietary formats to make it moddable... because they knew it will be well worth it. If other games have such potential, they would be moddable too.

All the modders of this game protect their investment. That is why they always defend it so aggressively. Other games do have potential, but only this game is free to make money from new tracks 😉. All the same, i like playing it, i just dont like all the praising it gets. One might think it's even better than reality with all that bragging.

​@@mihaitoma5443 I don't say it is absolutely flawless, but it is the only rally sim available, which is quite amazing considering it is 17 years old game. If you dig deeper into this project, I am pretty sure you would understand why modders love it that much, it is just incredibly sophisticated, complex and unique piece of engineering, not many games can be compared in that aspect with it. I am personally not much into that RBR vs DiRT / WRC / BeamNG flame war, everybody has his own preferences and I don't see reason why to force anybody to like anything, similarly I don't understand why somebody is commenting RBR video if he has some antipathy for this sim & community. Why not to focus on what you like instead?

You are right. I will just focus on the things i do like about RBR. I like rallying very much and after all it is the feeling it translates in front of the monitor and stop comparing to real life. Close enough is enough. Thank you for you hard work!
