Dude this is the video i was looking for, I couldnt figure out how the pins on the hardware go. your video is very very INformative regarding how to properly put the pads in place along with the ends of the hardware. Thanks a bunch. i'll be putting my pads in tomorrow because i coudlnt figure it out. I got my vehicle up on stands as i'm writing this and will continue tomorrow. I finished the rears rotors and pads . you have a subscriber.

hello i just did the front pads on my 2016 altima, i used duralast elite from auto zone, i noticed some sounds and some grinding when i took the car out to break them in, how long does that usually last?
@niveKOnBass
@niveKOnBass 8 ай бұрын
@@evolutionofcando379 hard to say, i'd give it a week and see what happens. sometimes the sounds are due to lack of lubrication on parts that needed to be lubed, like the ears of the pads, the back of the pad, etc. sometimes the pads just suck and make noise

quick question, at the end of the video i noticed it was a bolt you put back and not the pins, any reason why its just a bolt at the end and inside the boot is the pin thats connected to the bolt you screwed in place? i'm just used to seeing a single pin and not a pin and a bolt attached at the end of the caliper. thanks

Hey man, I did my pads and rotors but realized I put the metal sensor pointing down on both sides instead of up like you have them. Will that be a problem? I'm getting some grinding when I drive but idk if I need to break in the new pads/hardware. Any tip would help man
@RBTheMechanic
@RBTheMechanic 2 жыл бұрын
The noise u might have to take a look but sensors should be ok u might get more noise going forward once the brake pads have worn down to the minimum in year or so once they reach down
@7HEREALDON
@7HEREALDON 2 жыл бұрын
@@RBTheMechanic thanks for replying man, I'm going to swap the front driver pads with the passenger so they can all have the sensor's pointing up. I noticed the hardware was more stiff than the previous one and the pad was little more stiff so that might be what's causing the noise as well. For the most part, do new pads+rotors require a break in period so they won't make noise?

@@7HEREALDON yeah drive it like 25mph and then brake and let the car slow down to 5mph don’t make complete stop and then take off again do it like 5-7 times and it’s all set

@@RBTheMechanic thanks man, I turned out one of the metal shims was rubbing against the putter part of the rotor so I bent it slightly and no more grinding. I appreciate you bro! King Boss check ur brake fluid level if it’s low that means the sensor is going on and off cuz of the fluid bouncing around but it might be low because ur brake pads r worn out check ur brake pads once u compress the calipers brake fluid will level back up
