He's perfect. The high voice means he's "non threatening" to younger potential buyers. The market they're appealing to is not older pros. His slow, clear and concise manner might come across as pedantic, but not to their target market skew. You wonder why the owner of this channel hasn't argued with any of you is because this is pure genius.

Well, I'd say that if you have the cash and you want to be able to use it live, the RC20XL'd probably be a better choice, since it's a bit easier to use. If you want the really professional version though, I recommend the RC 50. It has more memory. Pricier though.

This is a great demonstration...and I think this guy is a very feeling player. "Cheese" is the key to soulful tones, and elevated playing. Good thing most common listeners aren't insecure musicians...or else there would be noone left to play to who offered up a sensible ear. And all music would become a gameface competition, and groove would die. This guy is a terrific player, and I would be honored to play with a player so passionate.

I don't know if mine's an E2, but I do have a Headrush and the biggest thing LACKING from the RC-20XL is IT'S NOT A DELAY PEDAL! I mean, c'mon! I chose my Akai pedal over the Line 6 because you can pretty much dial in the same features, but manually instead of pre-set. the RC-20CL is cool, but I haven't yet been convinced that it's a gigger and not just a studio tool. Now, my Headrush? I've been stomping on it weekly in dirty clubs for 8 years and it's still going strong...

that's because the amp is the last one on the chain of your setup. if you set it to overdrive then obviously everything prior to the chain is effected. get an overdrive pedal and set it before the rc20xl.
@GuitarJamTracks15 жыл бұрын
got to get myself one of these
@amarr116 жыл бұрын
most brands call it looper, or phrase sampler. a line6 dl4 has a looper in it, which is a cool feature.
@DiegosaurusThesaurus17 жыл бұрын
thats why you gotta have it at the begining of your chain. and use the direct line not the effects line on your amp.
@wandersonfdecastro15 жыл бұрын
oh yeah, the looper has a built in metronome, that corrects the punch out line if you are a bit early or late, I already played 2 gigs with it and it was 1 of my best performances yet
@SRDhain16 жыл бұрын
im also thinking on the same lines and im a keys man. the rc2 cuts of suddenly when you stop the loop and theres no undo. the 20xl has a fadeout mode and you can undo as well. you pays your money, you makes your choice..
@effzee16 жыл бұрын
I know the temptation is strong, lol, I want to laugh, too! But honestly, this dude is top-drawer, a fantastic player and a classy teacher. Roland picked him up for a reason. And the RC20 kicks ass.

does any youtube show how to use this in a live band.? sometimes I need more than a trio. Wondered if this would fill the void. Not sure though. timimg is the issue. its either that or have my son do Rush tricks? Is there a foot pedal that punches chords,strings etc?

What kind of amp do you have? If you have an effects loop its probably a good idea to be using that rather than plugging the predals directly into the amp.

The RC-2 which is the smaller brother of this blows this outta the water. The RC-2 has more features and if you get an external footswitch, it can do things like rewind, fastfoward your plays in real time and do other wierd effects you could never do with the RC-20XL. plus it carries all the quantize properties that the RC-20XL has.
@midesti16 жыл бұрын
I can't decide between this and Akai's Headrush E2. I just want something that will be a good loop pedal, but the delay on the Headrush would be cool. Anyone know the ins and out of either of these devices?
@CyborgJimsoba17 жыл бұрын
I have this pedal and I have a question. I have an Ubermetal pedal by line6 running into the loop station. When ever I have it on, it sounds just fine, but when I try to record my playing on the loop-station, the sound coming out is really watered down. Is there anything I can do to improve the quality?
@TOOLxoxo13 жыл бұрын
it only quantizes the first loop; any overdubs have to be on time when recorded.
