Ive got the FS 7 but wish I would of bought the 6. I think side buy side is easier to target when you are live and in the moment. I made my 7 with less important commands like all stop but I don't use it for recording anymore. Its too easy to miss the switch you are going for and accidently hit b when you are going for a. In my opinion side by side is less chance for error and a miss when in a live situation. Thanks for the video. This was a quick start guide for me to get through the menu diving a bit faster than the manual

Hi Rob..FS-7 pedal is the same as a FS-6 for functions..Doesn't need a battery to function.Needs a power plug for the LED's to work.I have 1 it takes up less space.On 1 of my Empty Memory Patchs..The FS-7 is set-up for Start/Stop and Fill for the Rythem.. I like you can adjust the Rythem Variations with a Control pedal.I'm going to make a patch that does that....On the RC-300 I used 2 Rythems using a temporary switch going to the Control plug-in on the back of the RC-300.To change the Rythems.And MIDI'd Out of the RC-300 to a Alesis SR-16 drum machine..That does 2 Fills per patch.Using a Temporary switch. Had 2 drummers going doing that.Haven't done that on the RC-600..YET..Liked the 12 step Transpose with a control pedal.Going to do that too.On the RC-300 I only had 2 Empty Template Patches..I'd Copy 1 of those to a empty patch.And All my setting were done and I was ready to loop.Think I'm going to have at least 4 or 5 Empty Patch Templates I can Copy to a empty patch slot..Using the RC-600..Love to see a rig rundown.If you or anyone else knows where to get a 5 pin MIDI controller with 8 or 16 potentiometers on it ..That's something I want for Volume control for all tracks and Rythem and main volume..Or USB,that can plug into the RC-600-without having to plug into a computer.16 pots would really be great..Have even more control.I've been looking but haven't had any luck.I know it's out there somewhere. I Picked up some Very usable information from your video..Thank You..Would like to see what you do with MIDI..👍👍

Thanks for watching and commenting! Sure nice to have 100 memory banks to use and save for future templates. I've been creating from one template memory and saving over other blanks.

Ill have to show my setup using the mpk249. I've been able to use the faders on it with the midi input to control volume on all tracks and input levels.

Very helpful! I have a boss volume pedal and was wondering if there was a way for me to control loop levels with this volume pedal? I'm currently missing the fader features on my boss RC300 but was hoping there was a way to do this with my volume pedal and perhaps switching between loops with custom buttons.

Thank you for posting this it is very helpful for a beginners and your camera work is great! I noticed you have labels on your footswitches which show multiple controls, B =Trk Play Stop & Undo. My understanding was you could only control one thing per switch like Play Start & Stop or Undo unless you wanted to do Stop, Start & Undo all at the same time but why would you want to Undo at the same time with Start and Stop? I guess my question is...is there a way I am missing to set up the Boss footswitches to do more than one function say "Stop & Start" as one and "Undo" seprately on the same B switch. Kind of like "Banks"? Thank You Subscribed!

Hey there! Thanks so much for the helpful videos! I was wondering if you know if I can set up my fs7 to do 2 different things with the a and b buttons on the pedal. I can't seem to get it worked out. for example: I'm trying to set pedal "A" to mute and unmute the mic. I got that. But I'd like to set pedal "B" to turn on and off the octave effect. thanks!

Whenever I enable Distortion effect the volume is like 3 times higher than no effect or a different effect. For example I am playing my electric guitar and I have the chorus effect enabled and the guitar is at an appropriate volume coming through my PA system. Then I enabled Distortion on top of Chorus and it’s 3x the volume way too loud. Or even if I disable Chorus and enabled Distortion it’s 3x too loud. So I could just turn the volume knob down when I switch but that’s not very efficient if you’re switching in the middle of a performance. Can you tell me the appropriate way to lower the output volume ONLY of the Distortion effect?

A lot of effects, including distortion, have "D level" and "E level" parameters to set the levels of the dry and effect (wet) signal after the effect. You can turn down the E level in the parameters of the effect to compensate for the extra loudness that distortion gives you. It also works with the amp sim effect!

I have attempted to update mine but get a message that the update was unsuccessful (I'm using a macbook pro) but I don't know I t it's out of date or user-error michael

Make sure you move the contents of the updater zip file to the root of your "RC600" drive that appears on your Finder desktop. If those files are copied inside any other folder on the drive, it won't update correctly.

Not every expression pedal works properly with the RC600 If you’re buying one just buy a Boss one to be sure it will track correctly
