This boat RiPS! 6S ALL THE WAY BABY! This boat is mostly stock except for the aluminum upgrades I installed to help control it better. Am I ever glad I tried 4s first.. because this was a squirrly boat to learn! BUT SO MUCH FUNNNN! None of this footage has been sped up, or slowed down .. all real time!

That lake is pretty calm so the water that was in the boat didn't came in via the hatch but rather the stock motor jacket that leaks when under pressure. If you upgrade to a aluminium one your will be riding much cooler with the dual rudder setup and no more water in the hull. Nice run!

Medic, you ought to go get some weather stripping from the hardware store and put it around the rim of the hull. that should work well. rcnightmare did it in one of their videos and said it really helped keep it watertight.

I had one of these and had a hard time keeping water out of it, no matter how much tape i used all the way around it it still took on a lot of water. Kinda sucked to see all the electronics under water after a run

It could've got through in the back of the hull where all the hardware is mounted, my revolt 30 leaked a bit in those spots

XxxInTheMiddlexxX the back of the sparten where the hardware mounts is sealed up, not like a revolt where u can see the hardware coming through, buddy of mine has a revolt now and its a nice boat, not as fast as sparten but out handle it allday

Man that thing cranks!! Love it. I can't believe you have to ruin the look of it by putting tape all over it and it still takes on water. Is this a bad design?, how can Traxxas release a boat that takes on water? Weird (-;

it looks like the boat is completly out of the water except the rudder and the prop when your going top speed, AWESOME!!!

the water isnt coming from the back of the boat, that water is coming in from the water jacket on your motor, because you forceing so much water thru them line at high speeds, its causeing you water jacket to exspand under the pressure, i had the same problem on mine, so my advice is to switch to a alunium jacket, it will solve almost 99% of that problem, you will still have some , but not alot as your getting now

All the water came from the motor cooler expanding.get the aluminum one.that should fix your problem.

yeh if you reverse water gets in . they sell a splash guard to keep water out in reverse. great run bud ! B>)

hey medic i have a spartan and run it on 6c and i found that the motor cooler leackes at high speed u need a metal cooling jacket to help stop the water from getting in

people want an 8s version out of the box but traxxas is slow to respond... makes sense for 8s X-Maxx owners to use same battery packs

Really got her zinging!!! Noticed you had the water cool line hooked up this time. Had your line picked out and flying on it. You could almost make that turn just by watching where the rooster tail is. Know you can't wait to get out on some BIG water or rapids perhaps.?.?. it's amazing what a simple change in batteries will actually do!!!

You could get a ton more power out of simply getting the valineon 3500k motor out of their and putting in a mamba monster. And also, gens ace batteries are shit. Get some better batteries, I suggest SPC lipo's. Even with the stock valineon setup and the right gearing and propeller pitch, with a couple of good 2C 5000mah 60c SPC packs would wake it right up. Your biggest problem are those cheap-o batteries. Don't let SPC's low prices fool you, these batteries are legit. Good luck snagging a couple of them up though as they are rarely in stock due to extremely high demand.

Im not sure what impresses me more? The Spartan on 6s or that canal? Both are very cool. That canal looks like its almost a perfect spot for boat speed runs. With the berms protecting the water Id bet it has very little chop from cross winds.

medic i got a question u have made my disision on me getting a spartan onthe unboxing and i love the boat even with stock batteries but im thinking about steping up to 6s as well but im worried about burning out my esc your boat looked fine after but did u install the second tube for the watercooling system or no cause my boat is stock all the way u think it will be safe in mid 80 degree weather too

i bought a foam tape for my mx trailers door. you can buy it at most hardware places, if you cut it down to size it should seal the hatch really nicely. nice vid btw
