I built mine in 1988. 1hp OS Max 40 nitro & 11inch prop, all 1.6mm aluminum Tig welded, 0.7mm stainless fuel tank/engine mount rig welded, enclosed hull, twin rudders (same as prop dia). It went so fast I could never give it full stick or find water smooth enough to.

You will have to change that prop out .I've tried wood and the water just chewed the prop up , I would look for a nylon prop ..other than that it looks pretty spiffy ..two thumbs up
