RC Boat - Avenir - Passenger and Car Ferry

Avenir was a French Passenger and Car Ferry which operated between 1967 and 1975. Her base was Marseille and she offered her ferry service in the mediterranean sea.
The model was built by Gerold Brunner who already created fantastic models such as Queen Elisabeth II and France where you might find respective videos in this channel. Again he remained in his favourite scale 1/200 resulting in a 65 cm model. This tiny and fragile piece was constructed out of a Heller plastic model where Gerold turned it into a fully operational RC model as you might observe in this video.
The footage was taken during our 2013 annual boat show case, where - as you might see from the "huge" rain drops - the weather was very unsympathetic with us.
