I wonder if you guys got a dud. I have this boat and it's one of my favs (I have a dozen or so brushless boats btw). Mine is faster than yours and turns properly both direction. Did you check to make sure the steering rod was centered in the servo arm? Might have to adjust that.

My first few RC boats I got as a kid were from Toys R Us, they looked mean but were slow as heck 🤣 the max speed was slower than that taxi.. Amazing what is out there now! Thanks for the vid/channel.

Totally agree with Drew Alsup down below. As I work in a hobby shop, first take servo horn off, set your trim to centered and power up boat so the servo centers itself before putting servo back on (no need for transmitter to be on yet). Now center rudder and put servo horn back on. I've seen this happen many times with rc cars also.

I love your videos but this boat is amazing, I have 4 of them and one of them I fitted a 40a esc and a 3600k motor on 3s and it flies and handles so well. Just need to make some adjustments, absolutely love your videos. Thanks from the UK.

Great reviews, I went with the UDI005. Purchased from Walmart . Needed a bigger boat. Use to play with 80" fiberglass boats with weed Wacker motors back in the 80"s. I'm too old for that crap now and going electric. You actually named your child Popye ? Way cool.....

Nate all you have to do is pull the servo horn off and re center the servo with it trimmed in the middle and put it back on. And re arrange what ever is making it lean one way or ad some weights on the other side it should steer good in both directions not just one. Racing boats arent like nascar or circle track cars they should steer both ways just fine.

This lake is great for RC boats! The performance of the Volantex V797-3 was somewhat disappointing. For $100 I'd like my boat to have proper balance and steering out of the box.

Adjust the servo horn on the servo. That should help. If there is one. Watching your vids. Im definitely buying a boat for my son and i.

Its hard to get more speed on water , then it could be down to the pitch and size of propeller . I had a Graupner Eco speed and a Kyosho viper back in the Days 😏

Yea, not overly impressed with what I 👀 or really hear. As compared to the other one. I would say the boats are keeping the geese/ ducks away. Maybe they also sense Nates what feed the geese, we'll ok if you really want to.😆😆😆😆☺. Be positive Nate, say I love the geese,I WANT to feed the geese. 🤗🤗🤗. Review 🖒🖒👍👍.

@@steverc8 ive been huge into the hobby of rc since i was in 4th grade when i got my first nitro car an hpi rs43 18 ss kit and have had so many cars and trucks and boats and planes since then i am 25 years old now. I have always wished i knew more people in person who were as big of rc nerds as i am. I always go up and talk to a person if i see them doing anything RC at a local park and i run into a few enthusiasts here and there. I wish my local hobby stores havent all gone out of buisness but i just have to get with the times and order online more. Its great to hear about new people enjoying the hobby. Cheers!

@@drewalsup9200 Go find an RC air field. Lots of those guys are pretty friendly, will help you when yo get stuck, so on and so on. But also, many of them want to get into other RCs besides flying. RCing along sucks, but when you do it with others, it's way more fun. Look at Nate and Abby, they RC together plus they are part of that air club. Cheers back! 🍻
