Great advice Big B, thanks for caring. 👍👍👍 (Just unplug it from the battery) I use deans connectors, mostly in my small boats, I drill holes in the connectors in between the wires and use a small zip tie to create pulls. Many years ago a local hobby shop owner was checking the trim on his rc plane, had it pointed at his face working the surface controls, he hit the throttle accidentally, a trip to the hospital and 35 stitches to the face later, he literally looked like Frankenstein. Side note: it all healed up and a year later you would have never have known. But boy did he have some explaining to do to everyone that walked in his shop. BGFL

Great video and fantastic information. Early on in my rc hobby I was flying(learning to) a 450 heli in my backyard. A gust of wind blew it at me and I put my hand up to shield my face. Will spare you the gory aftermath. A trip to the ER and lots of stitches woke me up. I did master it though but have the scars for my effort….I guarantee you just saved some fingers because this video.

Check for a kill switch mode my IX 14 for airplanes is programmed for it it becomes second nature to hit the Killswitch when I land the plane Good video, bro

I remember back 30÷ years ago, having rc car radios glitch and bammer the throttle any time you touched a wheel nut or something like a pinion grub screw with a metal wrench if you forgot to shut off the radio. I haven't noticed it with modern radios, but still try to remember to shut down or unplug the batteries.

Yep, safety first, ya never know when a glitch grabs your receiver. Similar to this, I almost cut my thumb off on a cnc lathe. 40 stitches to sew it back together.

if myesc doesn't have a on and off switch can one be put on? is there a way to get a on and off switch for either batteries or the esc or better yet one for the whole system? please respond.

I'm sure you could somehow incorporate an on/off switch on any esc. If it's for changing props, I recommend just unplugging the model. A safety loop similar to this can be made and used as an on/off switch www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=ten-ts-bp00000002

I have fail safe and throttle hold but a wet Rx can still glitch a throttle blip. UNPLUG YOUR BATTERIES is fool proof.
