RC car tyres or is it tires - Ready for the Nationals

Amazing rc cars racing, MTC cars driven by skilful drivers … The BRCA MTC Nationals series tours the country and we see cars from several manufacturers battling it out on track. The Batcave converted Awesomatix going head to head with xpress and Carten in the 4WD rubber class which is now know as the stock class, is what I will be trying my hand at for the first time.

For Kettering and on our "new" carpet most people are sticking with rush 24 on the rear and 30 on the front. I've tried the new Sweep High end D 28 on the front and 24 on the rear and they don't grip up enough for our track. The high end D's seem to be a harder compound than the Sweep EXP 28 and 24s (which I have been running and quite like). Might be worth having some Rush 32s for the front for when the grip comes up. Quick question, are any of these tracks majority right or left turns, and if so would it be worth setting up to corner better in that direction? Such as harder or softer tyres left to right, or stiffer suspension one side or another 🤔

Oval racers will see cars with a bias but not circuit racing .

Right on, I figured that but thought maybe some tracks would be worth it...but I guess you'd look funny going twice as fast around rights...and half as fast on lefts....🤣

Does it refer to ambient temperature, tire temperature or track temperature?

Usually refers the the middle of the operational temp range. At my club a 30 tyres comes of the track about 34c after a race so probably upper range of it's window. But says. 36 tyre you don't quite get eh temp in the tyres.

How many races would u say u could get out of a set, cause spending 50 bucks on a set is pretty pricey

About 35 dollars they work out to here. On carpet you can get many meetings out of them with almost no drop off, just need to check the glue

Averagely a 36, around 40 packs on asphalt 13.5 blinky depending on camber/toe settings, FDR, endbell timing and track surface..

I'm new but I think we don't have to deal with this in the US because there are spec tires and spec sauce at all the major carpet races. So why doesn't everyone do that?
