I cleaned my maxx with al lot of water and i did it never again all my bearings and metal pieces are killed now i use only a hard brush and pressure air that’s enough it is just a basher not a nail palace bitch ✌️ sry for my english Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪

Nothing will happen, if you use on all metal parts any rust preventing or water repelling (or both like silicone or ptft) you are out of warries

Nice I have the Maxx new and I’m really happy but what about water inside the Tires you don’t have it after washing? I don’t have it right now but I’m afraid what you suggest ? I appreciate take care

Yes the tyres do fill up and you don't want to seal them off as thisbchanges performance, you need a 3mm drill bit, I know this sounds wrong but you need to find the centre of the tyre in the thickest part and drill through, once you've mat a hole and pulled the drill out, you won't see the hole once drilled, then say your tyres are full of water as you run the truck the water will make its way to that little hole as its in the centre, literally run the car for a minute on dry ground and they will be empty, hope this makes sense 👍🏻

Drill a little hole in the tyre, when you use it they'll empty 👍🏻

Yup really good for the plastics too, makes them less brittle 👍🏻

Doesn't wd-40 remove all of your greese in your bearings?

It'll probably remove a small portion of it yes, but this is a clean so more so to remove the water, I would always recommend re-greasing every 2 or 3 hard bashings in the wet 👍🏻

@@rcworxshop I don't have a air compressor to dry my cars off, and I live in Washington where its cloudy a lot. I'm thinking of getting a small leaf blower to dry them. Do you think that is a good idea? I'm thinking in going to use simple green and brush it everywhere and the rinse it all off. Then use the leaf blower to dry out my bearings. I've been using a hair dryer 😂

If it's not a sunny day I leave mine over night by the radiator, and lube it up the following day, simple green and a brush do work if you've not ran it in mud and dust 👍🏻

@@rcworxshop Everyone says "Don't use WD-40 on the bearings because it breaks down the grease and oil on the parts" when if you think about it, would you prefer WD-40 in the bearings or dirt and water? It's easier to reoil or regrease the parts after using WD-40 than it is to replace the bearings because water rusted the bearings or dirt stuck in them.

Great job!! Good advice! My Serpent 811te RTR has esc, servo, reciever tray. It's rather pleasant to clean, but pain to wrench on diffs....

Serpent isn't too popular here in USA.. wish there was guys to help me set up & maintain....I have RTR so I'm learning by trial and error.. so far she's a "princess rc" only runs very good when perfectly clean/oiled.... little bit of dirt/ grime she grinds, looses acceleration....

Brilliant video I'm new to this and starting in winter the car is caked in mud everytime I go out. I bought a pump pressure sprayer from toolstation and it gets rid of all the mud but not too powerful to damage anything. I was wary of getting too much water in the motor and battery area so this has given me the confidence just to blast it lol. Thank you subscribed and liked 👍

Hi I belive it's water proof, it's worth checking first if so go for it, if not you'll need to take your electrics off, I have however seen people on KZbin fully submerge their typhon under water 👍🏻👍🏻

Yes buddy as it comes from the factory you should be able to was as it is, if you've opened your receiver box make sure all the wires lye flat where the come out the box also doesn't hurt to ass a bot of vasaline or thick grease around the seal 👍🏻👍🏻

Your a moto x rider looking at your profile pic, do you give your plastics on your bike the once over with gr85 or wd40? all racers I know do, it doesn't stop mud from going on your plastics but it sure does make it easier to remote the dirt

@@rcworxshop I couldn’t find GT85 in the states. I got some tri flow superior lubricant with PTFE. Similar to GT85 I assume. I’m going to be doing all the pivot points, and steering points like you did. It makes sense. I do it for my dirtbike too.

That's what I done, I do love the x maxx but the size is actually a negative, loads of battery power needed and if you go big and get it wrong the thing crashes hard, the mini maxx takes much more of a beating in my opinion and only one battery at a time 👍🏻👍🏻

Have you had any issues like bearings seizing after this type of cleaning ? Because i honestly can`t go through hours and hours of cleaning and nerves each time being extra careful. I`ve only been told to use my 3in1 silicone spray on the driveshafts where the spinning happens and not on the bearings. Would appreciate some help, thanks and happy bashing!

Watch out with your transmitter box, cleaned my Xmaxx with water and it started acting up 2 days later. Found water in the transmitter box and it started corroding. Managed to fix it with electronic cleaner, but wouldn’t want that happening again haha

Water displacements like WD40 and GT85 will destroy your car. Also, for anyone watching this as a noob, DO NOT spray your entire internals with water. They are waterproof, but not submersion/high-pressure water proof. You may get away with it for a bit but you will eventually drown your electronics. Just put on a dust cover over your internals. Then all youll need at most is a brush scrub on the insides.

Is wd40 safe to use before the silicone spray?

A lot of people soak their plastics in wd40 as it makes the plastics more flexible and less brittle 👍🏻👍🏻
