Which is better for someone new to crawlers, kanyon or mauler?

Hello Stephen, it all depends on what you want, if you want a scale ftx crawler i would recommend looking into the outback series. As to your question: The Mauler and the Kanyon are both great rigs although not scale they out preform a lot of trucks, the mauler has the turning circle of a boat, we have a mod coming soon but it doesn't make much of a difference, the Kanyon is a great Rig more to the scale look but it's oversized, it has a better battery life than the mauler out of the box. It has its own separate esc and receiver unlike the mauler with its 2in1. The mauler is mostly metal but out of the box the performance is a Rock Racer. The mauler definitely needs a few modifications and upgrades to make it a crawler before you'll be happy! But remember both Cars are a lot of Rc for your money. If you want a Crawler with a 540 motor over the 340 (outback) without a plan on changing a few things then go KANYON! If your not set of a FTX then let us know and we'll recommend a few other brands Please Don't forget to subscribe and share! Thanks Got Dirt RC
