Holy crap!!! Talk about skill. It's one thing to put stuff together. It's another to make them. Awesome work. Beautiful workmanship!!!!

What a GREAT MACHINE you built !!! My son works at a small machine building company with 10 Solid Edge work stations. They will let me have weekends to work on my projects using Solid Works.. Sure beats my AutoCad days! My current build is a 1/5 scale Sherman Tank for my grandson to drive in.

Very well done. I particularly like the ingenious way how you rigged the servo to the rocker switch. Thumbs up from me.

DADSGARAGE FMAB have you ever experienced with other types of batteries? Just building a 1/12th scale d11 same motors is 105 pounds with blade wanting better run time Live by Humboldt

Thanks....glad to hear that the pics have been helpful...the original design used a large servo, and yes the springs help balance the weight of the blade...but the servo I used did not last long....it now has small linear actuators on it....and so far they are working.... I got the servo lift and spring idea from this video... " RC Dozer Guts" by bubbaseth1....it is a great idea !

Thanks glad you like it......and yes waterjet cutting has it's advantages...all you need to do is "simply" create the proper cad files and you are on your way...I think what I did is try and make all the wrong ones first...LOL...finding out what doesn't work tends to help point you in the right direction, not always but it does help!! LOL Sharing ideas is what it's about......nothing special about this build, many of the ideas I used came by watching and learning from others!!

Thanks Charles....and yes I had to paint it...we did use it unpainted for a long time (having too much fun) but finally it just had to be done....my favourite pic after paint is at 3:25...nice new paint...funny looking solid yellow mass....LOL....really needed some details at that point !! Only the L16 actuators are controlling the blade...originally I tryed using a 1/4 scale servo to control the blade but eventually it failed.

Thanks Cody...you get to see all the good parts in the video...there are many parts that had too be made a number of times in order to get them right or at least almost right...LOL...if you look at all my videos and read the comments you should get all the info you may need....it weighs about 95lbs....thanks again glad you like it!!

Hi 65peterbilt , thanks for the comment. If you watch all my vids and read the comments you should find the info you need on the motors. In time I may create a kit of some sort...maybe...time will tell....

I'm not sure I understand your question on the track plates..?? The small plates are attached to the chain , you can buy this chain with them installed search for " K1 or K2 attachment chain " it is costly !! The small space between the track pads is not a problem...there is about .030" gap...yes some small stones can get between the pads but it has never really caused any problems...a root or branch is a problem and I have had some jam a track...a change of direction and the jam is fixed

I see the LH is on back order for a while...you could use the same motor on both sides , providing you have the space.....it just doesn't look as clean.....best is one LH and one RH, that way it looks the same on both sides. I bought the attachment chain with two holes per attachment , I'm using single hole on my new tracks that I installed last week....made a set that are just a straight lug and a little taller at .350" # 40 K1 attachment chain every second link single hole GOOD TO GO

Best place is at bearing supplier...BC bearing , Commercial Solutions is where I got mine...the chain is made by "TSUBAKI" it is pricey !! Search the web for" K1 attachment chain " you may find a different supplier for the chain , I bought a 15ft length but I only needed 3.5ft for each track 7ft total (I wanted some extra)...remember #40 K1 attachment both sides , one hole , every second link. Be sure to make the track pads under 1" long to allow clearance (mine are .970" long 3" wide)

Very nice video, quite useful. Is the blade lift servo special? Springs are to balance the blade? Still working good that way? I'm gona try that approach on a 1:50 conversion.

I have a few questions: If I saw correctly, the track plates have smaller side plates attached, so the chain fits between those side plates? and the bolts go through those plates and chains? Since the track plates don't overlap, do you get rock and debris stuck between them? Especially over the idler wheels where they are most spaced apart?

I made a bigger drive sprocket for pushing snow....original was 18T and the larger one is 20T....just a little faster....my kids said it was to slow...LOL....I'm now using a 15T drive which give me a bit more power and the battery lasts a little longer pushing dirt with the new 21" wide blade...

The next build is ummm this one....LOL....shortly after the "pushing dirt" videos I started working on a more realistic looking "U" blade design ( the blade alone has been a "build" ) the simple flat test blade had to go...the new blade is still a work in progress.
