That's exactly what started me thinking originally - why the gyro isn't under the main shaft. Heli's make the case quite clearly. Some fixed-wing guys have a more inflexible view of how gyros work and maybe the demo will help.

Great video. I plan to make a flying wing and want to use your foam board. I have heard the wing has camber both top and bottom. If you ever make a video about that, great, I will be working on a 50 to 60 inch wing and could use any help.

I wonder if this would apply to gyro/accelerometer units? Accelerometers at the top position will complain because of the linear movement which probably is the reason why dead center COG placement is necessary and advised by the manufacturers. This demonstration will be fine and applicable to the HobbyEagle A3-L for example, but not the A3 which also has accelerometers. Any comments?

So for gyros in helicopters why do the manufacturers who design and build them say the gyros have to be on the centre line?? Also what about showing the gyro mounted to the side of the centre line to show the gyro acceleration side to side and the effect that has on the 2 servos?

I just got my first gyro system, so to clarify: I can mount the gyro anywhere on the aircraft as on as it is in the same axis as of movement(Direction plane is flying), for example, the nose, tail, middle of the aircraft, CG position. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
