RC Hooligan Race @ the ROCCK GoPro Hero 8 [Obstacles, pick axe, cinder block, cones] {Ryan Lutz}

A fun 10 minute race around the ROCCK track Layout in Knoxville, Tennessee. Obstacles placed around the track including used tires, pick axe, paint cans, case of fuel, garden hose, boulders, and much more to avoid. Most laps in 10 minutes wins. If you crash there is no marshals. We had to stand below the drivers stand so it was very hard to see and many blind spots. Just a little fun to break up the real racing action.
I used my WRC SBXE Ebuggy and I show how I mount the GoPro Hero 8 onto the body.

There were moments where I was like “how did you run into that” or “how did you not see that” then I’d remember that you guys weren’t even on the driver stand. Great footage

Love watching the GoPro videos. Mostly Nitro but I watch them all. Just got back into hobby after 20 years with my 14 year old son along for the fun and I watch the GoPro vids to try to learn how to drive on the track better. I can hear when u r giving throttle, letting off, even braking. Big big help. Thanks Ryan!!!

That was KILLER! Just got back into RC after a 15yr hiatus and been all over Ryan’s vids… Even my girl is into it lol… The race started, and I’m like WTF is this???? Caught on pretty quick, and was a blast to spectate! Thanks for the footage Ryan, and your attitude toward RC is STELLAR bro!

hard to get a pace down with objects all over track, but challenging laps, and reverse allowed, now thats abusing the buggy, that poor motor. good video driving.

No reverse. Simply either bounced off object or rolled back down the up face of a jump I was on. This was very easy on the motor compared to normal racing. Check out my newest video to see race laps on this track.

Do they have this track set up like this all year over at the zoo, or is it only for events?

The track is open at least 11 months out of the year. The obstacles are only a special little race during some of their big events.

@@jameskeaton7388 Thanks. Depending on what's going on, I might stop hy and see what it's all about. I'll be honest, I've just started with RC stuff in the past couple months and I have never raced at all, ever. Don't even own a "race buggy." Just a 4s TLR Typhon and a little 3s Typhon. Bought them for fun and because I always wanted a buggy since I was a kid when I saw the Tamiya Grasshopper. It could be fun to get involved, but I'd be really bad at it, would need a lot of practice, and would only be doing it for fun. I'd want to check out the vibe and see what people are like. I know a lot of people can be super-serious about things and aren't welcoming to people who are just doing something for enjoyment, and some people are really laid back and cool with people who are total noobs, or not overly serious. Thanks for the invite. I appreciate it. 🤘😊🤘
