Basically same lap times with either platform. But electric was on Friday when track was looser and nitro was on Sunday after event when track had better grip. 👍🏼 Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you!

GOPro Hero 8. That’s the thing. FPV cams aren’t stable enough yet for off-road racing imo. Once they reach the stability capabilities of the GoPro Hero 8 then we can be in business!

Amazing watching you drive. What was your average lap time with the nitro vs electric? Just curious... the nitro seemed faster, but could just be the screaming engine in the back ground. ;)

In the A main the electric did a fast lap of 0.2 faster than the nitro. They are very close. In this video the electric was ran on Friday practice and the Nitro was after the A mains were over on Sunday. So the track conditions were faster for the Nitro in the video.

Noob question, but how much weight does the camera add and is it too prohibitive to attach during a race?

It’s a good amount of weight in comparison to the car it’s on. Notice it more on higher traction track. On loose tracks don’t have to adjust too much. I just put it on and raise front ride height 2 or 3 turns and adjust my driving accordingly. I have a couple full qualifiers with it on in my videos. Some tracks lap times are still close. Others can loose about a second or so and be less consistent.
