Hi i have a monster truck from 2006 and has a 2215 tx-tal reciever in it and a tq3 transmitter which has three channel switches on it a on/off and two trim dials,I bought this in 2006 run 6 tanks threw the machine everything worked fine then never used again until today, now with new batteries switched on controls do nothing but i can start motor and manually rev it up.the reciever is getting 6v but do they break down in the crystals over time ? any help would be greatful

2.4ghz similar to the 27mhz have a weird antenna were there is an outer and inner antenna soldered to two different points on the board. i bet you could find one of these on e bay though

I hope this is all I have to do to fix my T-Maxx, I'm still using a 27MHz receiver and after a couple hours run time I put away and the next went to take it out but no electronic response whatsoever and I can't figure out why. I do know at two of my servos work.

I took mine Transmitter apart and replaced the antenna did the repair with new antenna but, there is 2 black rubber pieces and I don't know where the hell they go. these pieces are about the size of a pencil eraser and are black rubber. Please help.

Actually the length does make a difference. I gave it an extra 6 inch and I can drive it in the house again.

Sorry but this method does NOT work with 2.4ghz. You have to solder a coaxial cable which isn't easy to do.

Don't do this. Get yourself a cloverleaf antenna and solder it instead. 1km in gain.
