Hi chris I mixed the channels on one switch and adjusted the power on each position so that low med and high power thus 3 speed. Not a 3 gear gearbox but still works pretty good

I see you keep your tracks relatively loose? This is obviously before the new tracks, and do you keep new tracks loose as well.

John Nolan hey mate yep this was before the new tracks. If I tightened them up they would have snapped. I run the new ones reasonably tight mate and I have no dramas at all with em
