Can you post the width of the body from the outside of the fenders? The proline site says its 6.5" wide but does not specify if its the fender width or body width.

This is a great video man. You did a great job, I really like the copper paint, my CJ 5 is the same color. I an getting ready to paint the same wrangler body for my Trx4.

First off. I just want to say awesome job. I have this exact same body. Exact same wheelbase. I am in the process of trimming it right now. I am going to use candy apple yellow. And black on the fenders and hardtop like you did. I have a question about what size of screws and bolts I should get to hold the bumpers on though? If you don't mind me asking where you got your screw set from And what size they are?
@LandOfTheEagle4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. To be honest, I don't remember what size they were because it was 4 years ago, and I don't have it here to check it. But it doesn't matter that much. If you have some spare screws, just check few to see which one fits best :-)

And also, you cut the body holes before painting, does't the paint go through the holes and if the overspray film is peeling, couldn't the paint get on the outside of the body, can you just mark the holes first, paint, then cut them out or does that damage the paint or something?
@LandOfTheEagle5 жыл бұрын
Sure, you can do as you said - it shouldn't damage the paint. I just prefer to make the holes first because I think it's easier that way, and then paint the body. If the layers of paint are thin, paint will not go through the holes.

Did you still paint them?

Is that a 12.3 or an 11.8 wheelbase body? I got an 11.8 wheelbase body for my deadbolt which is a 12 inch wheelbase truck.
@bccbreaks67125 жыл бұрын
Is that a scx10 gen one? IF it is, what body posts are those, because they don't make any anymore that are tall enough to hold a wrangler body in the rear, I am having issues with my deadbolt's jeep body because of that?
@LandOfTheEagle5 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's gen one. Re body posts: it was so long ago that I really don't remember - sorry :(

@@LandOfTheEagle Ok, is that a deadbolt? For some reason, I did all of this work on a great body, but the back fender flare scrapes the back of the tire when the car goes over obstacles, what should I do? For some reason also, the whole car is vibrating when it goes slowly reverse or forward, which is super annoying, I don't know why, the tactic servo or whatever is bobbing up and down in the front, I dont know what to do!!! Thanks for your response!

@@bccbreaks6712 it's Axial SCX10 Ram Power Wagon RTR - you can find a link in the description. Regarding your problems, I would recommend to contact Axial directly because it's hard for me to guess what's going on, especially when I don't see the truck etc.

Where do you buy the pieces that hold the body up? The 4 pieces you drilled holes for and stuck the nubs through? I want to add these pieces to mine.
@LandOfTheEagle7 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if I understand. Can you be more specific? What 4 pieces? Please write me an exact time of the video so I can check it.
@mobgma7 жыл бұрын
The black pieces that hold the body up at 4:38 in the video. Little black plastic pieces that hold the body/shell in place.

Oh, extended body mount posts? They were included in spare parts bag. Just type "SCX10 Extended Body Mount Posts" on Google and you will find them
