Probably should find a better place to do testing like this. You crashed multiple times into other peoples yards.

These tests were conducted in a perfectly safe place as nobody goes outside anymore

Well that's one way to get to know all your neighbours…

I'm not usually so strict about things like this but because it was a very experimental design going at high speeds perhaps you should have avoided flying in a residential area.

I love all your videos and all. but just thought I should throw in there that you probably shouldn't fly around areas that are so populated...

As a 30 year NASA engineer and RC enthusiast, this is like a slice of heaven. Very difficult to control such a steep descent, well done sir!

Shuttle glider? just add tiny wings to a brick.

"Hey neighbor, have you had some weird kid crash a flying thing into your tree?" "Yea! He said it was a space ship!" "Kids these days..."

I know Im kinda late but I really hope you read this, I know why it was so hard to control, from the vid I can see your model tends to pich down always and you try to compensate that making it too touchy, the main reason for this its not lifting surfice or control surfice, it has to do more with the center of mass being too displaced from the lifting center, as this its a glider it changes where it should be since there is no propulsion sistem, the mass center shouldn't be all the way in front, it should be somewhere a little bit infront of the lifting center of your plane, so the plane itself became more controllable

Very cool, but the flight area doesn't seem ideal for these experiments. Lots of houses and trees, making it harder to recover the model. Did you consider adding rudder (or it isn't of much use..)?

My Dad and I went out to Edwards once and saw the space shuttle land. It was the first flight after the Challenger disaster. That was many years ago but I remember that we could see it 'falling' from a long ways up and it looked like a big rock falling out of the sky. They did a circle on the way down then flared it radically to land. It was amazing to see it. It was a clear crisp day out in the desert with lots of people cheering. I will never forget it.

This is a great video! No filler content or extra fuss and information. Straight to the point and only the important details

Its great after so many years that you're still into this kind of stuff, not just multirotors!

Fantastic imagery man, this was a pure delight to watch 🎉

Lifting bodies seem like a good idea, but by the time they've been tweeked enough to work they're always a conventional fuselage on a delta wing like the space shuttle.:)

You're one of the best because you experiment like no other. Fun superb risky job mate.
