RC TRUCKS | RUSTY GETS PRIMED - FIRST STAGE FILLER PRIMER | LET THE PROCESS BEGIN

As I'm going to be weathering rusty, I am going to be going through a few different stages of paint so when I start to rub a couple of panels down I don't just hit the white cab and im left with various colours to show a little age and history...
First step.. yellow filler primer to help a little on the surface scratches and also when I come to the yellow when sanding which is a perfect colour to apply rust on too I know im at my limit , eventually it will look nice then rough again 😂😂😂

At 5m27s I see that you are using Autotek brand Filler Primer (yellow color). Does this and the Autotek grey (NON-filler) primer attack the surface at all of these bare Styrene plastic hard bodies on these Tamiya 1/14 trucks, or do I have to get Autotek Plastic Primer to make sure it's completely safe on bare Styrene?

Filler prime is for to get rid of any scratches or imperfections, it's completely safe to use, grey prime is just regular prime but if your body has light scratches etc I recommend filler priming and sanding till smooth.

if you want a good rust effect look up "hairspray rush technique " on the tube I done it on my tanks very effective.

Ill be using iron filings and saltwater for real rust but I'll look at the hairspray technique 👍👍

Have a look at some old austrailian livestock trucks they look awesome when they get tatty

I like yellow so I won't use it as ill grow to like it and it will end up being overhauled into another shelf queen 😂😂

It can take me months sometimes to decide on colours lol.. that has to be the most time consuming... With this, I want to paint it then flatten panels down and weather it like its an old working truck in the middle of restoration 👍

RC TRUCKING UK scotty555babe that is a very good plan. I am converting some bruder toys to rc no pint problems ,but I have to cut in to the plastic at some point and then you can not go back anymore. Lots of thinking before cutting.... keep up the great work 👍🍻
