I bought one of these at a thrift store without transmitter or battery. I got universal transmitter coming and built my own lithium battery packs.(2) 1 battery 8 volts is to power the reciever and 2 basic servos. The 2nd battery is 18 volt and is super powerful! Using a relay, I have figured out power both motors with 18 volts and this thing actually leaped off my work bench it is so powerful! A word of warning****** If you do overvolt any r//c dc motor, only power it in short bursts. Do not hold the button on full power more than 5 or so seconds.. because you'll smoke the motors and or wiring! I used a relay between motors and battery. A relay uses a low voltage connection and it triggers a high power switch. That is what connects motors to crazy battery

it could be the servo ... you can easily buy a replacement or try to see if you're Costco still has them for an exchange

@@JuanMartinez-dy5un hey man, I'm thinking about doing this with dewalt batteries, should be same sized adapter and such. I was wondering, has your held up with no issues? also, where did you mount it, as the tool battery plus adapter is way bigger than the stock battery so it can't fit in the battery compartment on bottom. I thought maybe on top, but I'm afraid the raised center of gravity will make the truck easily flip over, especially if it's a 4ah battery or larger. what capacity AH battery to you use? Thanks!

The NiMH battery should be 3000mAH 9.6 volts and you’ll have to either match the battery connection to the RC or replace the RC connectors to whatever connector is on the battery you find. If I find a battery replacement I’ll give you the link

This isn't a hobby grade rc. There's no fixing unless you take parts off an exact same toy.

you can make it water resistant with some wd40, grease and holmes conformal
