@@magnusm4 It only activates once the firestorm fence goes down; either if you destroy the generator, get it to low power, or capture the three control stations as per the mission objective. He did none of those things and even ignored the Obelisks firing at him. I mean, in the end, the only real objective is the core.

Nice work~! Looks like using the Jump Jet is still faster than the APC. Also a nice improvement to use disruptors rather than spamming disk throwers. Never seen any speedrun building a war factory inside there!

Actually you’re the only one to my knowledge who did a legit no-glitch speedrun on this mission. I CABAL I completed it pretty fast too though I think his intention was a playthrough and not a speedrun. My first attempts on this mission were disc spams but then the disruptor came into mind and the rest is history :)

​@@TheCNCChannel Glad to know, honestly it was a pretty cumbersome speedrun, but I did have some fun trying it out that way. I think I must have been inspired by the previous playthroughs as well. For the Nod final mission, I think I even tried building a squad of banshees and having them attacking the core. They explode, of course, but they are actually capable of crashing precisely into the core and causing significant damage. Flame tank seems to be another way to bypass the firewall, but ultimately the magic of adjacent building thru the firewall trumps all.

man I remember the first time I beat this as a kid, I had captured everything on the map and had built enough Reapers to clog the first valley the CABAL Zord goes through and he didn't last more than 10 seconds. Of course I only did that because not 5 minutes prior I had to reload my save because I didn't realise what would happen with shutting down the Firestorm and so CABAL just wrecked everything I had. Watching this instead, it's kind of terrifying how simply you can beat the final mission

The first time I played the mission I had to blow up the two bridges and all my units on the mainland were destroyed by the CABAL Zord. I had to use carryalls to harvest and build enough troops to take it down.

If you google the other TS speedruns here, they all use a glitch that allows them to build anywhere on the map.

@@stylesrj The flames are not blocked by the Firestorm. And also, the land behind the power generators ain't paved so... the Devil's Tongues can sneak behind the power generators and then fry them. Once the power is down, the Core Defender activates. Tell your Devil's Tongues to burrow and hide somewhere for awhile. After the Core Defender went somewhere else, then go back and toast CABAL :> P.S. i CABAL i had done something like this, check it out : kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKLchotjpsZgaNk Though for my try, it took shorter since I only resorted on many Devil's Tongues right away.

@@robbobbrah8953 I remember it does in the Nod version where you sent the Devil's Tongues to roast the power generators inside the firestorm. It'll say something like "Miscalculation of enemy inability, compensation initiated" and then the Core Defender gets activated
