I'm thinking maybe cut out the entire hood to expose the engine and the mounts might work the way you have them now. You can always experiment with this body before cutting the new one (including the flares).

When I did the same conversion I put spacers under the battery plate to lift the rear body mounts up high enough to make the body sit flat to the chassis.
@RCeveryday2 жыл бұрын
That’s it! Didn’t even think about that. Thanks for the idea.

@@RCeveryday OR if you can't get the battery tray/plate counter sunk Allen hexs out because they are rounding out, shave the top body mount that touches the bottom of the tray/plate. When you screw it on use a square/large washer to minimise chance of splitting. Just another way I did it before I bought a new drill for a more permanent job lol.

OK. You got my attention. The plans sound perfect. CC makes some incredible accessories. I have a couple on my LC70. I really like the dovetail front with open hood idea. Cant wait to see it! Always a pleasure. Right on Brother 👊

Gonna be a cool build, that bed is pretty cool to be honest and I’m normally not a flat bed fan.

Man love this build! Your channel is so inspiring for me because you think outside the box of actually fabbing your own parts and making everything work just like us 1:1 guys do. Great work man following this one. Thanks for the great content

I think cut out the hood, set it aside, and run it to show ow the whole engine. My opinion. Gonna be nice no matter what and quite capable too
@RCJesus4202 жыл бұрын
That's a cool flat bed, for sure. Why don't you cut the slider in the middle, cut off the extra from the center, weld it back together, grind it, paint it, and then drill a hole in the chassis and tap it for a screw? It's more work than cutting the bars off the flatbed, but it would look dope! :D

Do you know if the Vanquish AR60 aluminum upgrades also fit the D44 axles on the C2X? The c-hubs and rear lock outs look very similar between the two.
@RCeveryday2 жыл бұрын
I doubt they will. Rc4wd stuff is usually different. I’m pretty sure they offer their own parts for them as well.
