😁 Already done Brother, but I haven't shown it on video as of yet,😕 I installed a Protek 370tbl black label steering servo,& a set of Boom Racing "knock off Rc4wd K44 axles" they have a tighter turning radius then the stock is tf2 axles,🤔 and then I "Custom adapted" a Brand New set of "Very old" Tamiya Juggernaut 92mm oil filled shocks,😕 I previously had some junk Rc4wd 100mm none oil filled shocks, the Tamiya shocks are a bit shorter, but they are working out much better than the previous shocks,😁 believe it or not, it's tuff trying to find a set of 100mm oil filled shocks that will fit on the tf2,🤔 especially if you run your rear shocks on a diagonal between the leaf springs and the frame,😕 Luckily the Tamiya shocks are a great fit, and are working quite well 😊 I topped everything off with a new set of aluminum wheels, and a set of Rc4wd 1.9 Interco Irok's 😁👍👍 Much appreciated for your great suggestion Brother.😎👊👊

Thank yah Brother! 😊 I initially attempted a "Flip Flop" paint scheme on the truck itself back in the day,but the trucks "light gray" stock body color turned out to be too light of a background color for the "heavy flip flip metal flake" too Pop correctly,😒 So it ended up turning it into a "Seriously Heavy"Gray Pearl paint scheme,😕 But on a brighter side it has a ton of positive effects,😁 It's Awesome for hiding scratches,and large gouges, And it has enough different color metal flake in the paint, too make just about any color wheel look good on it,The paint literally absorbs & reflects back surrounding colors,😨😊 It's actually quite Awesome lol I was primarily running my "Orange" Traxxas tire/wheel combo,because of the moist track conditions,"The tires Hook up & Clean out well" The TF2's "main tire/wheel combo" consist of some "Knock Off" Boom Racing Sandstorm Aluminum 1.9 Beadlock's "smoked gray color with a black beadlock ring",and some Rc4wd 1.9 Interco Iroks 😁👍 But Track conditions very way too much out here too "pigeon hole" one set of tires,😒 As a result,most of my vehicles are regularly being shown with Tires/wheels that don't necessarily go with the vehicle,😂 lol Thanks for your great Compliments,and for checking out the video my friend.😀😎👍👍

@R.C.A.D.4 жыл бұрын
That's Awesome Man! 😊👍 That's the kind of compliment, that is tough too surpass,😊 Absolutely nothing better,than hearing about my courses inspiring someone too build one of their own,😁 Very Cool Brother! 😎👍👍 And track expansion is a total given,if you love the hobby,& have the extra space,😁 I'm fortunately sitting on 10 Acres of hilly wooded property,so my imagination is always running wild with future ideas,But unfortunately, as with most of society I can't really afford too pay out thousands of US dollars for building materials,Which leaves me with using whatever material is readily available,or Dig up! quite literally when it comes too all of the rock's,Every single rock, large & small,were all personally gathered,hand dug,transported,placed,and handled several times,by myself,😲😁 And actually finding the rock's to begin with is another tail of futility,lol Our property was once covered in glaciers,many! many! many! moons ago,they carved out all of the hills and valleys that run through our woods,😕 and they also dropped strings of rocks,& boulders along the way,in scattered patches throughout the woods,The tuff part is finding those little pockets of rock,😒 really tuff! because the existing trees,along with thousands of years of vegetation buildup,😕 it's like looking for buried Myian city's in the middle of the jungle,except without the jungle,😂 lol You basically have too get lucky,by finding One large moss covered rock that's sitting on the surface,"Usually sitting on the bottom edge of a hill",and then proceeding too look at the shape of the landscape,guess the way & general direction that the Rocks were falling off of the glaciers,😒 and then proceeding too dig & probe around in that general area, The Rock patches seem too generally be in a relatively straight line,Just buried under 4 too 24 inches,of dirt & tree vegetation,😞😲😂 I've been lucky so far,I can usually get about two trailer's full of rock per every patch found,😁👍 And that is also about a full days work for those two trailer loads,😕 and when you're building a course for the 1/10 scale rigs,those two trailer loads of rock only end up covering about 4 too 15 feet of actual track,😒 "about 1 too 4 meters roughly translated" depending on the obstacle being constructed,😕 which doesn't translate out too very much video,or personal drive time,😞 So ultimately,many! many! many! Rock hunts have been conducted too get this far,😨😵😲😂 lol Along with using sticks & logs,But the sticks & logs are much more plentiful,and easier too find,lol Point being! 😁 shaking my head in laughter! It's not easy building a course of this size,let alone two intersecting courses,with the second course being even larger than the first,with investing the least amount of money as possible,So far my track lighting has been the most expensive addition,😞 and ultimately not really needed, Minus the lighting,I only have about $160.00 us dollars invested into the tracks,and that was for all of the landscape brick,and hardware like nails,screws,and high strength outdoor brick Epoxy,😂 which was all used on the first course,the second course was absolutely nothing out of pocket,😊 other than that darn track lighting,which was $1.00 dollar a piece times 105 lights,and growing,😕😂 lol And I'm planning a third course for next spring,lol the madness never ends,😊 Thanks again for your Awesome Compliments Brother,😊👊👊 I'll make sure too check out your channel later this evening my fellow Trx4 track building Brother.😁😎👍👍

RC After Dark ah wish I had that much land I would build a buggy track as well 😄 where in the states are you located? Man that’s a LOT of hard work you’ve put in there.. I know the feeling tho “this is a lot of stones and material, it will cover so much..” but then it’s just enough for one obstacle 😂
@R.C.A.D.4 жыл бұрын
You said man! All kinds of work,but in all honesty,I enjoy building the courses,as much as driving on them,😊 it's a labor of love really,😁 lol And I like the way you think with the buggy track idea! 😊 My brother and I have been tossing that very idea around for a few months now,but it would require stripping back some trees,😕 "that little clearing,with the old rusty tractor would be my location" But that area would need some significant widening too pull off the idea,probably have too clear away about 150 tree's or more too get the job done correctly,😕 which is about 150 more than I want too cut down,😂 lol Crawler tracks & trail's are much easier too produce in this environment,😁 And the Fact that my parents own the actual property,is also another drawback for clearing tree's,😭😁 I know it's sad that I live on my parents property,😞 Ha! ha! ha!,Feel free too point and laugh with the rest of the masses,😂 👉 But it does have some obvious advantages when it comes too having a RC channel on KZbin,😁 lol fyi this actually started out as vacation property back in 1980,and was purchased for One thousand us dollars per acre,"10 acres = 10 thousand dollars",😁👍 very good deal for the time period,My parents myself & Brother built the actual house in 1985,did it ourselves,even pouring the foundation,built most of the house down state at our home,and hauled the pieces up North on a tandem axle car trailer a little bit at a time,built the house in 3 months,which is pretty quick by any standard,😨 my parents retired from work and moved up here in 2005,they summer here,and winter in Florida, I moved up here in 2017,job loss being the initial cause,😞 I currently keep the house up when they are away for the most part,😕 it is,what it is! Doing the best with the card's that were delt I suppose,😒 Anywho sorry for the story,but I figured some explanation was needed for the property, It's my parents actual property,but it also belongs to my brother, and I if that makes any sense,😕😊 my brother and I definitely have time served for labor intensive work around here while growing up,The ability too build RC courses wherever I feel like,is one of the advantages from putting in all that labor back in the day, So it's a far trade I suppose,😊 Fyi I'm currently located in Northern Michigan,between the town's of Kalkaska & Mancelona,Top left side of the mittin when looking at the map,😊👍 Looking at your left hand,we would be on your ring finger,about even with the top of your pinky,😂 lol pretty close too the exact location by visual standards,Don't even have to look at a map,😊 Sorry for the long expo once again,but if it wasn't for my parents kindness & use of the property,I wouldn't be having this conversation with you,😕 Kindness being the key word,they have also allowed me too invite out people for future track competition's,and or track retaliated activities,😊 So if your ever in the States feel free too stop over my friend,bring your RC's,A tent too sleep in,and you'll be all set,friends are always welcome out here,😊👍👍

Thank you my friend 😊 Between the two courses,it's been about a two year project, Still need too do some fine tweaking on both,and I have plans for a third intersecting course next spring,😊 so far these two are eating up about a half Acre of land,😂 lol And just like that lady who owned that famous "Lever action" firearm company,and built a mansion that's constantly growing,and always under construction, getting larger and larger as time goes past,I plan too do the exact same with my R/C tracks,and basically have 10 acres of hilly property at my disposal,😊 Talk about R/C offroad park,could you imagine a 10 acre R/C crawler park,that would be insane!😲 And would probably require shuttle buses,porta pottys,and multiple charging stations,along with some snack & concession stands,😂 Although I might not be properly Zoned for that,😒 lol I've got two other "Real Natural" courses on the back half of my property,but I've only filmed them one time each,And they are by far the coolest courses that I have,😁 Mainly because they are purely natural,they are located directly across from one another on either side of a valley,"both being on their own hillside" I can't exactly recall the video titles,😕 One is called something like TRX4 Bronco,K5 Ascender,gen 8 scout "leek hill run" And the other is something like TRX4 Bronco's,Gen 8 Scout,Log Hill run or trail, That one has a picture of my sunset bronco towing a small trailer up a huge fallin down log on the screen shot,😕 But they are both pretty good videos,with some downright awesome terrain! 😊 Thanks for your Awesome Compliment,and for checking out the video Brother.😀😎👍👍

😨 ouch! Those staggered bricks are Bad News,I haven't broken anything "as of yet" in my brick areas,but I could see it happening very easily, I'm gonna rip out that entire section next spring,and build something more favorable in that spot,it will still be challenging,and "hopefully" a lot easier on the vehicles drive train's,it's down right nastie at the moment,😢 Much appreciation for your great comments,and for checking the video Michael, And I wish you all the best on your "Beast bumper hunt" I've been eyeballing the Beast 6x6 for the last few years,Really itching to get one,especially since Traxxas and Axial have both recently released their own 6x6's,which has increased my 6x6 itch tremendously,😂 lol although that being said,I would still rather have the Rc4wd 6x6 over the others,the Beast seems like it's much more solid by comparison, "especially for building upon",And it also looks a lot better too 😊 Thanks again for checking the video Brother 😎👍👍
@michaeldeering7985 жыл бұрын
@@R.C.A.D. The 6x6 is truly a great machine and is mostly based on the Gelende platform as far as suspension components which make for great articulation as long as you file the driveshaft between the 2 rear axles or else it will bind under full compression, also I have ran through a couple of rear ring and pinions and lash from lack of shimming wasnt the problem, just alot of strain on those gears. Don't confuse it thopugh this is a great rig, but I wouldn't want to put it up the axial or traxxas rigs for performance.

Thanks man! 😁👍 And this was the Third season for the adventure park, First season was building the original section, the second season was building the new larger section, and this year, we were mainly working on "dialing in", what we currently have established, as well as, starting to add some offshoots, for the "Newly planned" trail network,🙄 next season, is going to be a busy one,😁 Not only do I need to get the trail network going, but I also need to do some redesigning, on the original portion of the course,🙄 "major erosion" Which is going to require a slightly different layout to Combat against the erosion, and flooding,😕 I may need to add some drain tile, and a few pop-up emitters, down in the clearing, outside of the Track perimeter,🙄 it's getting to be a "Must have" item,😕 Plus, besides all of that, I also have plans for building a Gigantic Short course track, A "not so short" short course track,😂 It's going to be Huge! But it's also going to require, some serious Tree clearing, in order to make room for it, 🙄 It's partially clear, but I need to bust out the chain saw, and accentuate what is there, in other words, "Open it up, a bit more"😁 It will be to the left of the Adventure Park, and to the right of the old Tractor that's sitting in the clearing, It's basically, going to be just beyond the tree line, and all the way up the hill, that is hidden by the trees, It's probably going to take a year, or two too finish, using the equipment that I have, If I had a small dozer, and a decent front end loader, I could get it done within a few days,😁😂 probably less than three days,🙄 But with chainsaws, shovels, and a wheelbarrow, it's going to take significantly longer,😕😟 Not to mention, building a grand stand, for track driver's to stand upon,🙄 I might have to break down, and rent some heavy equipment for a few days, to speed things up a bit,😁 Anyways; this is Season Three 😊😂👍👍 Thanks for your great Comment, and question Brother,as well as taking the time to check out the video. 😊😎👍👍

Traxxas E-maxx, or my Aarma Nero 6s BLX "with the Diff Brain", Although, I'm sure that I would have some fun out there, with the old Tamiya Hornet, sporting the VXL system,😂👍👍 As for the tf2's; they are great little truck's, definitely a builders Vehicle, and they aren't necessarily cheap to build,🤔😕 I could have definitely done it cheaper, with my Tf2, if I had to do it again, But, "holding my head down while saying this" I have around $2,800.00,😱😳 wrapped up, into the one that I have, probably over 3 grand in all reality, I got caught up in buying, a bunch of unneeded, and slightly expensive items, if I had to do it again, I could get it done for less than a "G" total,🤔😕🙄 oh well, lesson learned, when it comes to RC's, Don't be Blinded with unneeded Accessories,😁👍 lol My Tf2, is Absolutely, the most expensive truck, that I own, hands down,🙄 I actually have more money in that, then I do with my "real" full size, 01 Jeep Cherokee XJ,🙄😕 and that's just Crazy! 🤣😭 Lol

Which transmission is this? Great video, great truck!
@R.C.A.D.2 жыл бұрын
Many thanks Renner 😊👍As for the Transmission; It's the Standard Rc4wd 2-speed transmission that normally comes in the Rc4wd "Trail Finder 2 Mojave 2" Kit,😕 Except that it's no longer a 2-speed transmission since I removed the Shift Fork from the inside of the transmission (leaving the shift fork rod intact,and still attached to the transmission) and then I Arc Welded the Low Gear 👩🏭⚙️ directly to the Shift Drum & main shaft, which eliminated all of the excess gear slop, and "free roll" in the transmission,🤔 Loose tolerances between the Shift Drum, Gear, and Main Shaft, were causing a lot of extra Free Roll in the Drive-train when you brought the vehicle to a stop,😕 Like trying to stop on the top edge of a hill, and the truck ends up rolling forward another half inch from the excess transmission slop, and ends up going over the edge of the hill because of it,😒 So I eliminated the option of a Second Gear, And Arc Welded that baby into low range,😂👍 lol Best upgrade that I ever made on that truck! 😄 It's still got some excess slop in the drive shaft U-Joints, but those guys are over 6 years old now, they've got a ton of Actual Miles on them, so that kinda stuff is to be expected,😂 lol And no B.S. they are about to get replaced,😕 On the last video that I uploaded, I was going to take my Trail Finder 2 instead of my Trx4 Bronco, but when I picked the TF2 up off of it's stand, the drive shaft u-joints literally fell apart and hit the floor, 😕 no Sh!t they literally came apart and hit the floor,😂 lol Anyways... New drive shafts will be coming soon, and that should eliminate what's left of the excess free roll.😁👍 My apologies for the extra information,😕 But I kinda had a feeling that was where your question was headed.😂 Thanks for your excellent compliment towards the video, and for taking the time to check out the video my friend.😁🤜🤛

@@R.C.A.D. That's one of the beautiful things about this hobby. It brings total strangers together over common interests and boom....new friend. lol. Get me started on spending 2 years to build a custom Limitless GT and I'll never shut up :)
@R.C.A.D.2 жыл бұрын
😄 ha! That's for sure Renner... And I hate to say it, but know you got me wondering about the Limitless Gt build 😂 I love building RC's... Believe it or not, my love for RC's started when I was 4 years old,😂 and not just the driving aspect, I was also repairing "said RC's" at the same age,😄 My 4th year of life was pretty good, I got my first RC (Radio Shack Shelby Cobra Mustang) I got my first Snowmobile (Used 1972 Artic Cat Kitty Kat with the Governor Removed) and my Dad taught me how to Solder wire's, "so that he didn't have to keep doing it for me" 😂 lol Dangerous times back in the late 70's. I was one of those kids who loved taking things apart to see how it worked, Except unlike most other kids that age, I was able to put everything back together again, and fix or modify them as well,😂 no b.s. I remember fixing one of my older cousins RC's when I was Five years old and he was Pi##ed OFF! 🤬 The plastic steering knuckle on the left front wheel simply popped out of its plastic joints on the frame, It was a super simple fix 😕 probably took about 15 minutes in total, I fixed it at there kitchen table while my parents were talking with my aunt and uncle,😕 My cousin was upset because it had been broken for the last few months, and really mad that I fixed it so easily, Huge age Gap! He's about 10 years older than me, 🤣 And he was Pi#$ed Off!🤬 I thought that I was doing him a favor.😕😂 lol Moral of the story is that I love building and customizing, not just RC's either, I'm also a Master "Micky Mouse" Road Side Rigger as well. 😂 lol Anyways... I "Unfortunately" haven't had the chance to Film, or Build any RC's, for a few months now,😒 I've got a stack of "RC project builds" like custom mods for existing vehicles, And a couple of kit builds, that are all ready to go, with all of the required parts, The holdup on everything is my old filming location for my build videos,😕 I was filming in a super old pole barn that we have on our property for the last few years now, It's not that big, maybe 14ft×28ft or so, but it's pretty ancient,😕 It's been chopped up, and relocated, about three times in it's history, last being here,😂 we bought it from a neighbor back in 1987, then chopped it into pieces with a chainsaw, loaded it on a trailer, and then Re'assembled it on our property, except that we stretched it out a bit and added another 6ft to it's overall length,😕 Anyways.. Reason for the back story on the barn, is that we Built a new larger pole barn to replace the old barn, and for the last few months I've been trying to convert the old barn into my new RC Studio, 😕 I'm great at wrenching and fabricating on stuff, but it's my first time at carpentry,😒 and this building doesn't have one straight angle in it,😕 not one! So everything that we do has to be custom fitted, It started out with open rafters, zero insulation, a gravel floor, plywood doors,(big slider on the front and large swinging door on the other side) and Zero Heat, for the last 30+ years that we've owned it.😕 And now it's has a concrete floor, Over Insulated walls & ceiling, full drywall all around, regular steel insulated entry doors fore and aft, a wood burning stove,a small wall mount A/C unit, and a 8" exhaust fan for extra ventilation,😁 not to mention a huge L shaped work bench, and a series of 18ft long shelves, for storying the RC's,😊 But it's been a long road so far,😕 "Once again.. there's no straight angles in that building, and some of the rafters were home made as well,🙄🙄 My dad made some custom rafters for it way back in the day, after a heavy snow load caved in the roof,😕 he cut them himself with a chainsaw, using some of the surrounding maple trees on our property, and they aren't exactly equal in width,😕 they vary from 4.5"-5.75" between them all, and that makes it difficult for drywall, we had to put sister joints between them in order to level everything back out,😕 None of the wall studs are evenly spaced either, there supposed to be 16" on center, and these vary from 14.75"-16",😕 it's got a 7ft ceiling instead of 8ft, so every sheet of 4×8 drywall had to be cut down to 7ft for the walls, (no 16" on center) so everything has to be measured and drawn on the drywall for the stud locations,🙄 plus nothing is straight... So straight boards turn into slightly crooked pieces in order to fit correctly,🙄 We also had roof leak issues, and rafter ventilation issues that needed to be addressed, As well as mouse proofing around the entire building, And I'm not a carpenter Renner 😂 lol But I'm starting to get pretty darn good at it, especially after having to do some many custom fits with everything, while trying to make it all look straight in the end.😂 Long Road on the barn conversion! 🙄😄 We're getting closer to completion though, just have to finish sanding the drywall joints, install the pre made work bench, build the shelves, paint the walls, and I "should" be good to go,😄 I say "should" because we had once been at this point a few weeks ago,😕 and we had to remove all the drywall after discovering a moisture buildup problem in the ceiling, between the insulation, and the drywall,🙄 someone suggested that we needed a layer of plastic sheeting between the two, and that wasn't necessarily a good idea, 😕 especially since they suggested that we seal up the soffit's,🤔 "condensation buildup" 😕 I suggested custom soffit vents in the beginning, and was shut down on that idea,😕 The fix was removing all the plastic sheeting between the drywall and the insulation on the ceiling, and drilling a bunch of 1" ventilation holes down through all of the soffit's, with stainless steel window screen and stainless steel hardware cloth stapled over them to keep the critters at bay,😂 laughing because that was my idea in the beginning,😕😄 lol anyways again... Long road on the studio project and I'm really missing the RC builds.😕😄 Tell me about your Limitless Gt.... 😁👍
