this competition powder measure is fantastic to pistol loads, and shot gun loads!

But will it hold at 42gr. ? I don't think so as mine moves from 24.8 to 25.2 all the time

Are there options to have them auto dispense when using it in a die slot?

I have a 5 position Ammomaster progressive reloading press/kit I won in a shooting competition in the 1990s. It still works but some components are wearing a little and I have to set things up a bit more carefully. I have always had somewhat inconsistent powder amounts from the powder measure. Nothing great. Just +/- .2 grains or so. I keep wondering if this is normal.

Guys be very careful. The hopper does not screw off. I laid mine on the bench very very carefully as i was cleaning the mech (it was brand new) an it snapped off. Ive never in my life seen anything like it, had i been rough with it i wouldnt be here warning people. Its very brittle & frankly I'm totally amazed it happened. It wasnt dropped or anything. I wish now i had bought another brand. Ive now got a brand new powder dropper with a broken hopper.

Yeah seems like a design fail to me, why not make it threaded? Seems they just wanted to go with inexpensive acrylic tubing or whatever and glue it in. On mine the damn thing is glued on crooked...no it's not a functional issue but honestly WTF.

I just picked up a competition and it's froze up. Been set up for years and a bit of rust. Any recommendations?

How accurate is the repeatability of the competition model?

First of all install that micrometer on the back and not on the front of measure like shown on the video - you need only handle on front and RCBS support stand has cutout on the back to fit micrometer. I am not sure why RCBS itself shows suboptimal way of using its own tools. You do not want micrometer to get into your view when you put casing under the powder output muzzle. Mine pistol competition with baffle produces so consistent competition loads that I enjoy it so much that I still use it even though I have Dillon XL 650. I simply trust RCBS measure accuracy much more. Also the verison for pistol competition has much enough (with big margin) capacity to relaod rifle .223/5.56 easily with high accuracy. It also comes with proper plastic muzzle (call .22 works with .223/5.56)

So if you installed it with the micrometer adjustment on the back, would you also then have the throw handle on the left?

Unless you are loading ball powder or very small extruded powder repeatability is very difficult because the powder gets stuck in the drop hole and gets clipped.

Do they still make the Little Dandy Pistol Measure? I just got one and cant really find any videos about it. Forums say its good, anyone have some feedback on that?
