For anyone watching this is 2024 - Tamiya has this, and all it's option parts, on sale right now! I went stupid and bought almost everything they, and IntegyRC, offer for the little trike, as Integy parts are also on sale. Some tips: If you get the Sport or Torque Tuned motors from Tamiya, you will _Need_ to get the metal pinion - the stock motor has a smaller shaft than the Options, so the stock part won't fit. The twin aluminum link kit is a must, replacing the lone plastic arm used to steer (tilt the motor pod), with twin pushrods that lets you tweak the steering angles. You can get Option springs for the front fork, the steering, and the rear suspension, to better match the tires you run and how snappy you want the steering return - and it's all super cheap (currently). Go nuts fam, this thing is so fun!

This looks really cool, I'm looking for a first RC for my little girl and I think this should be perfect for her .. I'll have to buy one for myself also of course 😁 Love your videos 👍

first time I have seen your video. Pretty cool. if you did the helmet why not do like the rims and fenders. If it was me I would hack up that little body. But over all nice trike rider. take care and merry Christmas.

Ah, come on! They should have made a reverse trike and lowered it by a few inches.

That red color makes it look really sharp! Very cool looking kit. I haven't built a kit before since I'm fairly new to the hobby myself, aside from having different RC toys in my childhood and different times, but I've seen you have a couple Tamiya kits and maybe I'll have to get one for my first kit building experience. Heck, maybe I'll buy this one since it looks really cool and I'm sure it will be fun to drive.

Tamiya kits are a lot of fun to build and the instructions are easy for anyone to follow. Thanks for watching!

do you happen to know the size & quantity of bearings needed to replace the bushings ?
@rcdriver6 жыл бұрын
I just looked through the manual. They don't list the sizes of the bushings or suggest bearing replacement sizes. They only give a part number for the bushing parts tree.

no, it's not, this is an RS 370 motor, the GH motor is an RS 380 motor. A big difference in torque and speed.

True, no radio gear, no battery pack and no ball bearings and you have to assemble it. How do people continue to be loyal to tamiya when they create new products to steal your money and give you not even a mediocre product? WTF Tamiya? You can learn a lot from Traxxas, Built model, waterproof radio gear, steel gear drive train, ball bearings, a battery pack and charger aaaand the body has a good professional paint job, Tamiya, you cannot even come close.

Clearly your not a fan of Tamiya, Loads of fans out there its about building them aswel as running them. Your comment isn't valid here

Keep spending to make tamiya strong, they will gladly take your money. LOL. I love tamiya, they are the best plastics company in the world, the kits are perfect in every way but...they need to give more back to the consumer.

I sort of want to buy one-- And stuff a Traxxas 380 Velineon in it, with a small 3s LiPo. I don't think it will last very long, but it should be fun while it does.
@acereport89396 жыл бұрын
somefuckingprick I’m not sure it will fit without hub extensions. The Traxxas motor is a bit longer than the one from this kit and there doesn’t seem to be much clearance between the motor and the rear wheel from the looks of it. The Tamiya 380 Sport Tuned motor should work and some smaller brushless motors might work.
@somefuckingprick6 жыл бұрын
Ace Report I already ordered one (It just hasn't come in yet)-- Luckily I have plenty of hubs and other parts laying around, so I should be able to piece something together. I have a bearing set waiting for it, the Traxxas vxl-3m, and adapters to run dual rear tires (If they work with rear mini tires. I've never owned a mini platform, so I'm not really familiar with their parts).
