Not gonna lie, that does look awesome. And personally I don’t mind these colors. Everything can’t be black, blue, or red. I’m guessing this new Kraton approaches $600? I already have the 6s Arrma notorious and that thing is a beast! I added a heat sink and cooling fan to the motor and it’s just awesome to drive. I like this new kraton, but right now one 6s arrma is all my bankbook can handle. 😂 Great video, Greg. 👊🏼

Simply awesome unboxing, track rip, and skatepark bash Brother 😱!!! Stoked to see ARRMA making some EXB options standard with the V6. Emulsion shocks included and legit skid plate. Not sure about the clipless body popping loose, but you put an excellent vid together with the bonus speed run test 👊. 4s looked perfect at the skatepark. Great stuff my friend!!!

The color you got is okay but way better than the other one, but nothing a can of your favorite paint can’t cure! Awesome truck for what you pay for it! I’m soooo happy they got rid of the red anodized paint on the hubs and shocks! I’m tired of using oven cleaner to strip all the red off! Glad they listened! Arrma does such a great job with upgrading their trucks instead of just painting it different colors and calling it EXTREME and adding $100 to the price like its competitors do!

I've wanted a basher/stunt truck for a while but not really enough to pay what they cost. But this one coming in at $600, the value is there honestly. It has a ton of EXB parts and I can't see a single thing I'd want to upgrade or change. which actually contributes a lot to that value.

They are neck and neck, now. The EXB has fancy diff covers, nicer metal shock towers (I think). This new one has the updated steering knuckle and body support. I don't think you can go wrong with either. I'm still happy with my EXB, though I feel the jealousy for the new upgrades.

Oh definitely get the newest one. It seems Arrma took some of the better parts off Exb, but this one has thicker straps, much stronger chassis, and ect. I have the exb and it's weird. It really depends how hard you want to bash. If you run lightly anyone of them will work..if you're going to M2c, this model would be better because of the upgrades.

I was wondering if you can put the body posts back on so we can use body clips ? I have different bodies that that use body clips and prefer that instead of new push button design..I never had a problem with body clips with tethers.

I have had the first 6s kraton for 6 or so years. I have rebuilt it several times, due to have too much at a skate park. Some good upgrades for a new kraton.

NICE! 4S for me appears to be the sweet spot. Looks like the Kraton was running on auto pilot / cruise control. Very controllable on all the surfaces. Honestly, I think the bigger pinion gear that it now comes with is what is giving it the additional speed. Not the firmware update. The Kraton exb for example, comes with a 13 tooth pinion that is good for about 60 mph. This one comes with a 16 tooth. This is where that extra speed is coming from. Nonetheless, clever marketing by Arrma regarding alleged firmware update.

So I got a new v5 kraton a couple months ago,and it came with the same servo,esc and reciever,just minus the fan on the motor,which i put a twin fan on.i absolutely love it!

Exactly. Clipless is not enough to upgrade. I have two Arrma Grom’s with clipless and it’s trash. Any dirt jams them

Hey if you enjoy great! Personally, I've tried the hot racing, kimbrough, and Treal servo saver on my 6s typhon and 4s kraton, and found the Treal worked best, but still not anywhere near perfect. Thankfully Arrma listens to the people

@@darrinwoodward14 I second this comment. We can’t forget that true hobbyist will eventually upgrade parts and make it their own. Out of the box “perfection” is fun and all, but is catered towards the person wanting to dip their toes or who maybe doesn’t have time to upgrade. In the end anything that gets people into the hobby is good, but if I had an EXB I wouldn’t upgrade. I actually have the EXB in my cart as we speak on the horizon website.

Sorry if i didnt get it...was the 80mph just a jab at other manufacturers claimed speeds? This one comes with the "speed gearing" from the factory, i own a big rock 6S and i have never went full speed even with the 14T gearing, it went 67mph which is super impressive, no changes needed...so, is there a mention on what to do to actually reach 80mph? thats crazy fast territory, at least for an off road truck.

You can use Lp back flips on notorious to race straight , you could back flip this NP

If I remember correctly I ran the Spektrum 6800mah 4S G2 basher pack. Just be aware it’s a very tight fit. I also run the standard G2 4S 5000mah 100C pack.

Nice looking truck and I actually like the blue and pink body. If I would get one I would get that and eventually paint one myself. Won't be getting it though because my experience with an arrma is not great. I got three RC cars for some light bashing, one being the outcast. And out of the three the outcast is the only one that broke something almost every time I took it out. Last thing was a massive bend in that cheap aluminum chassis.

Noticed you swapped to 4s for the park. Could you have just ran the 6s with throttle trimmed down does that just make it boring? Want to buy a 6s kraton but im definitely not very experienced coming from 2s wltoys 124017's and im not sure if i should go 6s right away or go 4s. Thinking if I do go 6s I could turn down throttle trim until im a little more used to it. That way wouldn't need 2 sets of batteries....would this be a good plan?

Thanks to this video I know what I'm getting now I was going to get a typhen 6S I want something that is better for stunts and stuff than my red cat machete 6S I mean it's fast as all can be and it's fun to drive but it's not built so much for the stunts it doesn't really pop wheelies That's even with the center gift stuffed with ear plug and the pinion gear change to a 19 juice but I was really considering the typhon because I already have a couple of basher similar to the Kraton but now I'm sold for sure
