At my LHS a while ago they were trying to fix a standard size U4 & were shocked at how small most of the bits were for the size. They seem a great idea, but like the Axial Yeti XL I had; it was scaled up from the 1:10, but not enough & it kept breaking in moderate use. Losi seem to try harder than others & I have a number of their vehicles, but this one ain't on the shopping list.

You've made another great video. And you honestly address the weak points, which I think is great. Of course you can't speak plainly, that's clear to everyone. Losi is a specialist in stretching vehicles, we've known that since the whole Rey series, 1/10 platforms are getting bigger and bigger. But the fact that they're now building a 1/6 based on a size that's no bigger than the Slash is clearly taking it too far. Wake up people, 1/8 competition lightweight construction??? That's just 1:10 well marketed, the bearings in the diff are Tamiya size! With the Super Rey they showed what a real 1:6 drive train looks like, so they would know, and they're fooling us more and more. Experience shows that the model will be discontinued in two years at the latest anyway, parts will no longer be available either, thanks Horizon!
@L2theWcarscoffeelife4 ай бұрын
Incase you didnt know the silver screws on the shocks are reverse thread. I thought the dogbones and that would be a issue without having an upper control arm I added some droop to it before taking it out and no dogbone issue. The tire having to come off is a major pain they initially had a quick release thats in the manual thats why it had the addendum showing the wing nut. My tire is staying off. Whether you want it or not at this price point the cheap non gyro receiver is not acceptable. You did not mention the battery tray it can only hold a smaller 3s packs there is no getting a single 6s in here the way its designed its tight for the 3s other than that good review as always

It's just clicked for me that 2 of my favorite rigs to own but rarely drive because they're not really good at both Losi. I love my LMT but hate driving it because it's terrible at RC truck stuff and breaks a lot. I love my Super Rock Rey. It's the cheapest large scale I've ever had because i bought it when it was on that crazy sale last year for $500 or so. I have only driven it a few times because I'm not exactly sure what to do with it. It's not a monster basher but also not a great handling rig. I think my Super Baja Rey 2.0 drives much better but i like the SRR more. I've decided that Losi is really good at making really good, bad trucks.

I love the Losi designs, but have never been satisfied with their durability. I have the Tenacity DB PRo and it constant eats diff gears. Got tired of fixing it and upgraded to an Arrma Mojave EXB and have never broken any of the mechanical parts. The original Lasernut and the DBXL-E both have really poor reputations for durability. I know that they arent' marketed as bashers but having an RC just fall apart with normal use is unacceptable. Curious to see how this holds up.

Speed , more speed. 6s, 8s, 10s, ... All that power translates in crashes, unless your suspension can keep up. Many RC's know speed sells, but its no good if the suspension cant keep up to the power. Some 3s over power the suspension. Many times racing, slower is faster
