I am new to RC. I have a Traxxas TRX4 Sport and Traxxas Slash Ultimate. I love them so much.

Are the outdrives interchangeable on these axles? I'm planning to build a rock racer with these axles and was wondering if it's possible to build a rear four link axle (instead of the front three link) with the front portals and fit a servo mount onto it.

I'm a basic trail runner and crawler with my TRX-4 vehicles but I've never really been "deep" into the actual crawling performance. I'm just starting to learn about a lot of it. I understand gearing when trying to create torque or top end, but why would you overdrive the front and underdrive the rear? Wouldn't the 2 different ends be traveling at different speeds? Please help me to understand.

They do go at different speeds. It does help with crawling. I don’t do it because it lacks “realism.” I would never run my axles at different speeds in real life. So I don’t on my RC. I’m also not a professional rock crawler. I just like messing around.

I love the 'jewelry' offered for the TRX-4 chassis. I did the red anodized aluminum 'inner portals' front and rear with brass weighted outers upfront. Be careful and keep in mind where you commonly run your truck. I needed to affix some black zip-ties around my rears to protect from rocks regularly grinding away at my lovely $45 anodized aluminum inner portal covers. Inspect/observe where rocks have already abraided the stock plastic portals to see where you'll need protection if you wish to keep them pristine. If you're rich you needn't give a f*ck.

Looking to get the TRX-4, great series of videos, are there any diff covers to match the colours Traxxas produce?

You should do a build series on the OG axial scx10 deadbolt.

The aftermarket aluminum wheel hex weigh less than the stock ones what's up with that ? Waste of $
@danielkonrad14444 жыл бұрын
Oh man. When the dollars are flying😅 Isn't it the same when the rear has underdrive? In the end the front spins faster. No matter if the front has over, or the rear underdrive.

hopefully your changing out those red diff covers to the grey or chrome ones that looks so ugly lol Especially since you used the stainless steel kit chrome diff covers would complement it part# TRA8280X
@rcdriver4 жыл бұрын
Chibs Yup, changing them. I might have mentioned it in one of the videos in the series. It’s all a blur. Just haven’t gotten around to tearing the grey covers out of my bronco.

Needs blue pumpkin covers. The red isn't working anymore.

I just don't understand the blue parts on this! You have red diff covers along with red servo and etc. Then you said earlier in the series that you are painting the body tan!?!? WHAT!?!?! I like the parts, just not that color combo...
